I am back on the road to recovering after six and a half months, if you don't already know I was in a hospital for a Carotid Endarterectomy!
Unfortunately I had a Stroke! When I first come out the hospital I could not talk or write, it's taken me a while to figure out writing this and I had to learn to type, it's all my words and sentences, hopefully it makes sense.

I do not think that I be able to recover all the way but I am getting there somehow, my muscle are improving and that really is going okay, the tongue muscles are a different storey.

My speech is it getting better, but like learning everything it takes time, will I ever talk like I did before! Probably not but will have a go at it, I will have to learn to adapt, it is like learning a foreign language, sometimes, you can't figure it out and then something comes back to you and you can feel the words. But, when you speak in a foreign language you usually do so in an accent, probably your not always right, so when I'm speaking it sounds like someone else is doing it, it's between an accent and a little boy voice.

Medically I have a problem with Apraxia, if you know that some how you can figure out how to fix it, your memory comes and go, you attention goes, problem solving things and your cognition and planning go out the window, if you say it like that it will be really easy!

Or in other words, just writing this taxes my brain in various ways, can I figure out what I'm saying! Does it make sense to you reading it or maybe it is giggly [*****]! The spelling, well we all have problem with that! Somehow I have to make It grammatically making sense.

Despite of all of this I have played with my guitar again, I figured the chords out and some how I can read the words from my old song book, so by playing on the computer I can plan it, now I think I have figure it out.

In time the singing will still need more volume and with a little help I have figured out the melody, the pitch is not bad but I'm still creaking a lot on my voice, anyway after enough runs through I think it's all right.

I don't know anyone who would release a song only six months after they had a Stroke but it will on iTunes shortly and you can order it of my web site http://www.waynepaulo.com/HearTheWindBlow.html @ www.waynepaulo.com

So, can I still do a song, can I still sing, Check Wayne Paulo @ Storm Music. You can make up your own mind!

Until I can work out the words with "complex sound structures" Dawn, Naomi and Julia at the Speech Therapist clinic told me to practise on, you have settled for my typing and how I speak to you now, enjoy the song.

I didn't see a link to the song... just a link to a 30 second sample that still didn't work for me.

You should post the song where people can hear it in it's entirety and not just a 30 second snippet.

Sorry it will be on iTunes and Routenote next week, bearing in my mind it is difcult and using an awful lot of memory just to get it together!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
