Well, I thought it was funny.

Absolutely! Say, just how big is your son - if he's a little on the short side it would have been REALLY intimidating!

Alex isn't short; he's around 6'1", but at 175 pounds, he's not in their league.

I'm 6'3" at around 290. Lost a bit during the recent bout with the surgeons, but started working out again and some of the power has returned.

If ya need an older guy what knows how to police the bunch in realtime, give a holler.

I'll line 'em up for a bit of bible study...

Always a pleasure.

Citaat:

On the older songs, I used the original Roland Sound Canvas. The last song was done with the RealTracks stuff.

Hahaha, that'll put them boys and girls at gearslutz.com in their place! "Blabla multi-$ supersynth blahblah only way to get an acceptable result blahblah..."
You show that it is not the gear you use, but the way you use it makes all the difference! And you sir have the art down to perfection!

Thanks for sharing these songs, I really enjoyed them.

Very true but keep in mind where those mostly young people are coming from. Hip hop, Rap, Urban. That style of "music" production has nothing to do with what were hearing in this forum. I can't speak for Harvey but somehow I doubt he can master a rap album but if he has all I can say is wow. Last year just for laughs (or tears) I researched hip hop and found out that just a few years ago it outsold the Beatles, Elvis, all classical, jazz and the entire country genre combined. Think about that. Combined. Most of us here completely ignore it because it sounds like it does but that's where the music industry truly is so when you visit other forums and the average age of the posters are under 35, that's their point of view. Not all of them of course, but certainly most.

Yo, jazzmammal,
I can rap like an animal.
Albums, I don about three,
With other people rappin',
It really wasn't me.

Got a big rap session a week in October,
18 song CD, so it may run over.
Ain't no kinda music that I can't record,
'Cept Les Paul, and maybe Mary Ford.

Huh, huh, huh, huh........

All hail, yowzza, yowzza, you ARE the man, bro

I know most of the guys are actually pretty good people, my 26 year old office assistant has over 4K of 15" bass thumpers in his truck and I've ridden with him a few times and he's played some of his favorites for me. I can hear the talent there but man oh man to sit in a control room and have to mix that stuff?? I know you're running a business and as I just said above, rap is huge but still....

Ya know, I always thought rap was for people that are tone deaf... (Ducks and runs for cover)

Well at least some of the rap today is beginning to have more melodic vocals and music added into the mix as opposed to the old hardcore all talkie straight rhymes.

Good stuff Harvey. Love your finesse.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
