Hi Rob,
Great song and good production! I like the instruments that you picked for I am drawn right into the song as if I am experiencing what cowboy is going through. I enjoyed!

Of course. I knew you had one hidden around somewhere.

This is a really nice song and fits you like a glove. No saddle sores to be found anywhere. The lead guitar was particularly nice.
Enjoyed this from start to finish.

I remember this.

I don't recall the first version that well....

I do remember not being very impressed with the first version. This is much better.

I don't like the vocal doubling on the title line. Harmony would work better.

Much better than I remember on the first version. It'd be interesting to know what changes you made from the first version to this one.

Nice cover Bob!! I like the simple driving beat and sparse arrangement. Guitar accents work great and your vocal just carries it. Very nice work!! Take care. Greg

Hi Rob,

You done good!! I am sending all my cowboy songs to you from now own....lol

You do better vocals than I can and you also did a super job on the chorus. I new as soon as I listen to all the feedback on the first version that the song needed to go to the minor. Get rid of the fiddle playing all the way through and the other changes that were made.

I liked the idea of the song from the start and the simple structure.

Music is a team sport and I almost always find having others put their ideas into something makes it better.

It is a lot more fun for me to be involved with other musicians than to try to do everything myself and it has been a real pleasure to hear your take on this tune.

Thanks so much,

Billy

PS, been thinking about doing one called Rodeo Clown....they are the real unsung hero of the rodeo circuit.

Hey GT. I take your point on the vocal doubling. I never recorded the original version.
I used the same setup that Billy used. I tried to make the tracks stand out more.
Appreciate your comments.

This is a great song for the radio station!!

Everything goes well on it.

The voice of usual, but over all the compactness of the
sound. Nothing goes out. All is very well amalgamated.

Great work

Hey Rob, forum collabs are one of the more enjoyable aspects of this community. And this is an excellent example of that. Your vocal is excellent and this may be our favorite of your productions. All complemented by the strong lyric.

Very enjoyable.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
