Not typical tear in my beer country but I like the alternative country Americana feel you've got going on here. Of course I'm such a fan of your voice, you could probably sing the phone book and I'd like it. grin

I enjoyed it - different and edgy.

Great opening line!! This song really has great emotion-you sell the melancholy very well with your vocal! Arrangement and mix are perfectly matched to the vibe. Excellent job with this! Take care. Greg

Curse you Greg Johnson! You beat me to the comment AGAIN! ;-)

I'm going with Josie on this one... Rob, your voice is the star in all of your productions, and you could submit anything as long as you were singing it, and it would totally rock!

But you speak as though you aren't entirely happy with it. Whether or not you hit the ball out of the park may be subjective... but I'd say there's no doubt you bounced the ball off the back wall! The melody is haunting and well structured. On one hand I think the song would benefit from being a tad faster... but then it's sort of a drunken lament, which almost requires a slowness that drags a sober listener down to where the protagonist is at the moment.

I also like the lyrical structure in which only 50% of the lines are unique and the other 50% repeat. Not sure why, but I like that, and it really works for this song. No need to make it complicated, she left and now he's drunk and sad, left with fairly simple regrets and the words it takes to express them. I see it as a lyrical caricature of the drunk who keeps saying the same things over and over because he can't get it off his mind.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
