I did the rhythm bed in BIAB and ROG overdubbed his fabulous guitar work.

Thanks so much, ROG.

Hey Don, it was good to work together.

That was an excellent rhythm track you sent me, with a great groove going on. It was a treat to work on.

Many thanks for the opportunity, my old pal.

ROG.

PS - it's actually York, not London, but what's 200 miles between friends!

Rog,

We illiterate Colonists think London IS England!

You've given me confidence to proceed with the album project we had discussed. Please revisit my music to find something worthy of your efforts. I have some prestroke covers I like you to consider working on also. You'd make them shine!

Don and ROG,

I enjoyed that. ROG that was a really cool melody against Don's backing. It's amazing what BIAB and the internet make possible!

Heading back for another listen now.

All the best,
Noel

Thanks to everyone for listening and your encouraging comments. This is the most wonderful musical family on the planet.

My dexterity and paralysis prevent me from thanking each of you individually but know that I sincerely appreciate your support.

Roger, your guitar work made this collab shine. Your professionalism anticipated the exact sound that I had wanted, proving that music knows no national boundaries. I look forward to our next collaboration. Thank you, my friend.

What Josie said! My thoughts exactly!

I have to say that I usually don't like instrumentals. In my opinion they are one of the hardest types of song to sell to an audience. But this was just AWESOME! ROG's experience with a guitar and with song writing in general overcame all of the objections I normally have with the average instrumental, and he turned Don's rhythm section into a full-blown masterpiece!

Likewise, Don's experience with song writing positions him perfectly for the task of writing compelling arrangements. The high quality of the resulting song speaks well of the pairing of both song writers individual skills!

I especially like the fact that Rog's chordal approach to playing his melody didn't compete with Don's part... rather it was the perfect complementary part. The two parts together were so synergistic, it's almost hard to imagine they came from two different people living thousands of miles apart. Very cool stuff!

I am very impressed! Great collab!

Great collab guys. Like Rob mentioned you feel like you're
watching a film...it has that feel. It sounds like a tight band
walked into the studio and laid it down live.

Nice!!!

J&B,

I yield to the talent and professionalism of Roger, he anticipated my wants and filled them masterfully. Very few words were exchanged or necessary. I look forward to more collabs ahead. Maybe an entire album if he can glean enough suitable material from my works.

@Pat, you are too kind, sir. Thank you, my friend.

Laying the rhythm bed first proved to be a great workflow.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
