Hi all,
I'm using 2016.
A few versions ago there was an option to decrease the volumes of other channels when moving a particular channel past 127, thereby allowing you to reset all volumes at once. This option seems to have disappeared with the advent of the on-screen volume control.
Any thoughts? Or an I missing something?

I remember the setting. It used to be on the first page when Preferences was opened (it sat above "Number of levels of undo"). I've had a look through various menus and cannot locate it. I suspect it's made way for newer items.

I looked it up. It was a "new feature" in BIAB 2004. The description said this:
"Clicking up past 127 on volume control decreases others" and went on to explain:
"For example, if you find the bass is too quiet, Alt-Click on the up arrow for the Bass part, and this will increase the bass volume AND decrease the volume of all the other instruments."
With the introduction of the always-on-screen mixer, the Volume, Pan, Reverb, and Tone spin-buttons disappeared.
Sooooo ....
If you now want ALL the volumes to be the same (as per your example), simply hold the Ctrl key and left-click on any of the sliders, anywhere along the horizontal slider path, to set them.
As for the BIAB Help File example, if the bass is too quiet merely adjust its slider higher, or lower the volumes for ALL the instruments first, then move the bass higher than the others.
There doesn't appear to be a way to increase any of the volumes past 127.

Well, to be clear, it never actually increased volume past 127, as that is the max volume, period. It was a convenient way really to reduce the volumes of the other instruments proportionally when you needed an instrument to be louder, but had reached the max 127 mark. That way, you just increased one instrument and the others adjusted automatically, keeping their current relative volumes intact, without having to manually adjust all the other volumes to get that one instrument to sound louder relative to the mix.
It was a very convenient feature that I used pretty often. However, with the mixer, it's pretty easy to move the sliders, rather than clicking on tiny up/down arrows to adjust volume.

I agree with everyone that it was a very handy and innovative feature, but that was before the mixer was improved. I haven't even missed it in several years.
What I want a whole lot more is support for a control surface like the Mackie protocol, so we can have automated faders integrated with the mixer.

I agree John & Mat, it was a convenient feature, but I'd much rather have the on screen mixer.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
