Hi, my PC is having more and more problems, so I'm planning to move everything (BIAB included) to a notebook. Until now the program files have been on the main HD partition (C:), but realTracks/Realdrums are on a secondary (D:) partition.
My question is: is it possible to copy all the Realtracks/drums from the old D: to a (large) pendrive, and from there to the D: secondary partition of the new notebook, OR do I need to reinstall them one by one?
Thanks! Alfredo

Yes, assuming it's big enough, you can copy the whole RealTracks folder. Same for the Drums folder. I do this regularly. You must also copy all the .ST2 and .XT2 files over from the main /BB folder.
You did say Notebook, as opposed to Laptop. My experience trying to run BIAB on a notebook was that it was underpowered when trying to use more than one RealTrack at a time. But this was a few years ago. Check the specs of the CPU, or better yet, run Geekbench and make sure your score is more than, say, 1500.

You can copy the RT/RDs to a different drive. You can even copy the main BIAB folder (along with its subfolders) to your notebook. Then just run the minimal install program (so you get fonts, SampleTank, DXi sounds and effects, etc). Then apply the latest patch and go into the program and tell BIAB where the RT/RDs are located.

Matt, my fault, I wrote notebook, but it's definitely a laptop: 12 GB Ram, 2 TB HD, Intel I7, Nvidia geforce, dvd-drive etc... Alfredo

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
