Hi These are three problems that I've been trying to nut out. First, I want to run a mix out from my audio interface, a Zoom UAC 2. The tech guys at the store sold me a cable for the outputs of the UAC 2 and stupidly I believed them. As I suspected the cable doesn't work when there is video involved on the Android. It only works if I am using an audio recording programme on the Android. There must be something in the android headphone socket that shuts off audio cables when you do video. I also tried using a plug with 3 lines on it, part of a video connector (red, white and yellow), but that didn't work. Second, what mic should I use to switch off the internal mike on the Android for mobile shows. I'm thinking the IK Multimedia Condenser mic which uses a USB interface (I think), but will it work with my Android? The packaging says yes for Android 5. I'm on 6. The shop says no, but what do they know! Also it's about $100 US as opposed to $11 for the cable which I'll take back. A lot of cash if it doesn't work at all or consistently. Anyone got an idea for either of these. No way, I'm soldering cables and capacitors etc. Way out of my skill zone. Finally, can I send global midi time codes (beats per minute for songs in BIAB), for delays etc to my effects units from Band in a box? I'm sending patch changes and cc commands to my NOVA and Voicelive 2 with little problem. There's probably more questions.....

This was Periscope's response. Somehow, I don't think it got high enough up the food chain (sigh).

Hi I am struggling to find a suitable mic to use with periscope when I play and sing live. Periscope doesn't seem to accept an external mic. Any ideas? The IK Multimedia Condenser Mic looks promising. I have an MI Note LTE using Android 6. I am also trying to run an audio cable from my mixer to the Android. Again, same problem - no audio in Periscope. Thanks.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
