I'm having a strange problem with XML in BIAB (437) is it possible for someone to check if this is my problem or BIAB generally. I scored a song in Notion Opened Special in BIAB all good except BIAB will no longer play a REAL or MIDI track on the SOLOIST track (only way to get any "sound" out of that track is to copy the MELODY track to the SOLOIST overwise just silence. Thought the problem might be Notion so repeated the same with Cubase but same result. So... saved an existing BIAB song as an XML, it opened fine but same result. If someone has an XML would you mind opening in BIAB and see if you can get a REALTRACK to work on the SOLOIST trackin it. (Before I report it to support, in case it's just me) Thanks

Beachboy, I can't seem to reproduce your problem. Here's what I did.... - I opened a song.
- Saved it as XML.
- Opened the XML file.
- Generated and played the song.
- Added a Realtrack to the Soloist track.
- Generated the song.
The RT added to the Soloist played fine. I have BIAB 2016 (build 437). Have you double-checked under "Help | About Band In A Box" to confirm that build 437 is installed? Regards, Noel

Thanks Noel. Spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to solve it with 3 different songs. Today tried again after your post (Same XML's from yesterday) same problem. So I load a couple of BIAB Style Demos, they convert and work fine. So... Reload song and find that XLM has saved/opened the song which is a 3/4ev but I'm using 4/4ev style with bar 1 set to 3, notice the Soloist Realtrack actually plays for about a beat then stops. Ah! says I that's the problem. Save it with a 3/4 Style and all is good. So, now to the next song 4/4 but with a couple of Bars of 2/4 (changing doesn't fix it, then I remove star ending 2 Bars early (greyed out bars similar to the (3/4 4/4 thing in 1st song) remove that and presto. So congratulating myself until I find that " today" I can actually open - export- import all 3 files without changes and they all work anyhow. Both the XMLs from Notion & Cubase now work also. Good thing I'm doing this away from sharp knives Hopefully, it will still work "tommorrow". Computers! (or programs) Don't you just love em? Again Thanks.

Seems there might be a further issue. It seems (on my system anyhow) that if you us a 4/4 Style as 3/4 (by using the Bar Setting 3 Beats for the bar in Bar 1), then RealTracks won't function on the Soloist Track. Maybe someone could check this on their system

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
