All his friends he could count on his fingers
All these roads he knows like the back of his hand
Rolling into town against a blood red sunset
Turn down the street, there she stands
Thief of his heart from the moment they met

Another day in big sky
Letting the world go by
They can leave the world outside behind
Just another day in big sky
Another day in big sky

All the times he was under the pressure
All the times he disagreed with what they had to say
They made it hard for any voice of dissension
Found the courage and then walked away

It’s another day in big sky
Watching the world go by
They can leave the world outside behind
Just another day in big sky
So glad you’re here
For another day in big sky
In big sky country
Another day in big sky

Kenny,

Another good write - the verses "make you think" and then the chorus just carries you away - and really stays with you! (I'm still hearing it in my head).

This one made me think of John Sebastian (after The Lovin' Spoonful) - that easy-going sway to the very singable chorus... (but, your sound is very much your own as a whole)

Always enjoy your music...

Nice feel to this song. I like the way you did the vocals. Nice harmonies. Nice tune!

Kenny,

Another very good song.
I really like the way the lyrics start- just enough story to hook us in and the chorus has a nice uplifting feel.

"All his friends he could count on his fingers
All these roads he knows like the back of his hand"

Two lines and we are hooked, sucked in and along for the ride. And a great ride at that.

We can always count on your lyrics lingering around for a while.

The vocals are very cooly arranged and delivered on this. And the open feeling mix is perfecto.

Nice!!

I agree with Floyd. Very nice!! I also hear the John Sebastian vibe. There is one minor nit for me. In the first verse, the last 2 lines have the same melody (3 notes I think) which repeat 4 times. I think the 4th one could be a little different. Very small issue. Still one of your biggest fans!! Take care. Greg

Kenny,

I listened to you song a while back and thought I'd commented. It seems as if my brain is playing tricks on me!

I really like this. You have such a good knack for melodies that are both friendly on the ears and very memorable. As I sit hear listening again tonight, I find myself humming along. Another fine song for your collection!

All the best,
Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
