Eaglewing, an Eagles Tribute Band used my 1959 Gibson to finish their concert Saturday 9/24/16 at the Golden Leaf Festival in Mullins, SC. I would think that would be a bit nerve-wracking - to let someone borrow it like that.... Yea, it was a fun concert. I think the guys were more nervous than I was. Charlie

Beautiful guitar. Must weigh a lot. It's pretty impressive. It is heavy but not as much as you think because it is hollowed out . Charlie

Charlie, my 1998 cherry-red Epiphone double neck is extremely jealous! Altho a local professional guitarist borrowed it for that very song a year or two later. Mine is very heavy as it is not hollowed out but a "bunjee chord like" strap makes it bearable for a while  Me playing it with the CONMEN!!! nice story with video, Charlie. Alyn

No cause for jealousy. My mother was somewhat petite and mostly played setting in a chair. I still have her guitar strap that somehow remained in the case all these years. I wasn't aware the story was going to be shared and I don't think it was intended initially. In the video, the guitarist, Mark starts with an apology and explanation the guitar does not belong to him. Those statements resulted from bringing out the guitar and he had to spend probably 5 minutes tuning it. He was a bit embarrassed I think. I think the 'history' of the guitar was significant to him and once he started talking, he couldn't quit. I like the photo of the Conmen - You guys had a nice setup. Charlie

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
