It could be, hopefully not the worst song ever. BiaB helping out on the orchestration played by my Integra 7 and bass, drums, dreamy guitar from the Pballads.sty. Fitted quite well I think. All other guitars and Vox by myself and recorded as usual here at home.

Hi Paul,

I really enjoyed this.

Excellent production and vocals with great harmonies. Reminded me a bit of Simon and Garfunkel in places (e.g. Only Living Boy in NY). Love the harmony guitar solo too. Great job all round.

Cheers

P.S. Have you tried the BIAB song name generator? I sometimes use it for ideas.

Thanks mate I appreciate the compliments, Simon and Garfunkel? I'll take that smile The name...Ha ha, yeah I will come up with a better one. I am waiting on a new mic and will be redoing the vocals when it arrives, then I will name it. As it is a work in progress I kept the working title for the moment. smile

Redoing the vocals? Wow I thought they were great already. Anyway, just curious which mic you have now and which one you are getting as I am just about to replace the one I have and I am pretty much sold on the Audio Technica AT2020.

Cheers

One I am using here is the Rhode NTK, on order is the Slate VMS. If it lives up to it's growing reputation it should be amazing, giving a whole mic locker of vintage mics.

Fine production all through. I'll throw in with Tom on the production and mix. Vocals sound very good to us as does the playing.

Nice soundstage on our monitors.

Kudos!

Thanks. The Slate VMS looks amazing, and so does the price shocked

Awesome sounds on this. As I think you know and suggest, VERY Pink Floyd.

For a name, Is Pigs on the Wing already taken?

What about "Fly Like an Eggshell?"

smile

Seriously, great work man.

Paul,
Very good!
Fantastic full sound harkening back to the progressive Brit. bands.I found it original too and the lyrics are interesting ( nice to include them).I`m with Receder on the need for a vocal retake, but will look forward to comparing if you do.
My title suggestion? Storybook Lies

This is excellent! Great vocal (you don't need to redo them IMHO), great backing tracks and a super mix. The harmonies were super and I really liked your guitar chops.

This is a keeper.

Cool tune.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about redoing the vox. A new mic really won't change the song's vox in a way that anyone could pick up on by listening. The vocal in this is too effected and too far back for the subtleties of a new/different mic to show through.

Totally enjoyed the song.

Many thanks for your kind comments folks, seems like you all like the Vox as is...Old story I only hear what is wrong, I'm sure you all know that one. I am never happy and will redo just to see if I can get one step closer, but unless it is dramatic I will take heed and leave this one alone. smile

Janice and Bud thank you for your comment on the sound field.

Robertc..Ha ha Yes I was/am a prog rock fan, delighted you hear that but still find it to be original, very much what I was going for. smile

Thanks Scott...Well as everyone is happy with the vocals I decided to name it after all. Took no more than a moment of thought, it had to be...Howling at the Moon. smile

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
