OP edshaw Expert Joined: Oct 2016 Posts: 1,564 Central Ohio	Thank you so much, folks, for those kind words of encouragement. Many of us have an idea of what we hope to express, in my opinion. How we go about doing that provides the basis for much of what we see here on this forum. At the same time, we honor the other paths, such as the path to technical mastery, virtuosity, even being the fastest banjo picker in the state. Band in a Box is flexible enough to accommodate a variety of musical approaches. I attempt to do the straight rendition, without excess, note bending, or harmonies normally associated with modern gospel. Those are some thoughts I wanted to share. Now, back to Sweet Bye and Bye. It means a lot to me to know I am moving in the direction of successful rendering of this classic hymn book. Music, faith music included, has advanced in so many ways since the 1800's, I am challenged to take the simple melody and plain thoughts and make it roll along. One thing has not changed, people still go to church on Sundays hoping for a communion, or at the least, a respite from the daily grind. Some of the time tested lyrics are surprisingly applicable to this day. Thanks again for listening. Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
