We were both lost to blues and bluegrass in the 80's so we're lacking in much knowledge of the genre; however we are not lost to the appreciation of a fine production. Particularly when it is driven by such a creative arrangement. And we weren't such hermits that we are not able to hear the Bowie vibe.
The vocals and the solo guitar are spectacular. Oh, and the video was perfect.

Morten Harket ey, well I'm flattered. This guy is a really good singer ( way better than most people thought at the time, haha).
There are 2 Dire soloists, which you should definitely give a try.
In this song however it was actually the only soloist that would work ;-)
