Please combine both BB and RB into one printed manual. Willing to pay more for this.
PS: PDFs are not handy to read in my library (washroom). (LOL)
DE
Win 10, 64 bit, love my Lenovo T420, BIAB 2019 (613), RB 2019 (2)
Short term memory is getting shorter.

As someone wanting to know more about BAIB > I cannot even get access to a PDF Manual . How hard can it be to have a PDF version of a Manual ? (Even if they just offered a photocopied version of their hard copy manuals compiled into a PDF file - it ain't rocket Science)I had to resort to contacting PG Tech Support .., who informed me that there isn't one available on their website for download, - nor did they did not even offer me one ..., and the PG website does not even provide prospective users a full insight into BIAB's workings functions and limitations, not even in their F.A.Q I am still in disbelief that there is NO downloadable PDF Manual that is available to all , ..., really who does that these days After having to contact PG Tech Support, and to post questions back 'n forth on this forum " just to find out basic important information that PG do not openly provide about BIAB" ..., I can't help but get the impression that PG deliberately don't want people to know ? (.., like find out out after you purchase BIAB that your 64bit plugins wont work, or that the provided files are not in 24 bit etc )
Guys, I don't mean to sound negative here , as I am just telling it like I experienced it

SFG, Unless I'm misunderstanding something, because it seems strange that PG Music did not point you in this direction... In BIAB 2016, there's a link to the pdf manuals under the "Help" file. The manuals are also found in the \bb\ folder with the following names. Hope this helps, Noel

Yes it's not really a selling point as every other DAW, audio app has a PDF Manual download to suss out before you buy.
I thought you were going to buy a Download version while it was on sale to try out as you would of had 30 days to test it all out without paying import duties and get a refund if it was not what you need.. The Win version will be released soon and It "might" have a 24bit Audiophile version but the Mac version you are after won't be released til 4-5 months later unless they are both in the same program language now and released at the same time ????????? You can use the Win Audiophile version on a Mac with a bit of tweaking but you would need to do a crossgrade to get the Mac app only to use with the Win Audiophile version. If they release the 24bit Win wav ver the current Mac app will read & write the 24bit files from what I tried, but have not tried the RealDrums yet @ 24bit.
It is fantastic what Biab can do though the interface is lacking compared to other DAW/Audio apps, basically you just need to grin n bear it as there is NOTHING out there does what it can do.
I would just wait and see what happens around the end of November/December.

Hi There Noel96, I am sorry Noel , I didnt make it clear in my post , that these were 'pre-sales' inquiries to PG when requesting the manuals. I have not yet purchased BIAB , and at that enquiry time commented upon in my post , I was making efforts trying to find out as much information as possible before outlaying the big $ for the Audiophile version. It is a usual practice of mine to first download a products manual to find out it's specifications nitty gritty, and requirement to get the best out any prospective new product I am interested in. I have currently balked at making a purchase at this moment, because the 2017 BIAB version is apparently just around the corner so I will therefore wait until then to see if the 2017 version better suits my needs. Thank you for posting your helpful info Noel

[color:#3366FF] I thought you were going to buy a Download version while it was on sale to try out as you would of had 30 days to test it all out without paying import duties and get a refund if it was not what you need.. Hi Pipeline , Yes I was considering that suggestion, and I had no doubts about BIAB working on my system, and as you mention 'about the concept' in general .., I was already aware of why it appeals to me. I even watched (and recorded) all those PG vids, and also the watched BIAB groove 3 series of tuition videos in preparation. .., but a few things got in the way of doing that demo. ie; I had a few other projects on the go and only time to get them done, and also the stalk delivered a us a baby (goo goo ga ga) leaving no time to play with a demo for the sake of mucking around. .., Thats also Ok by me Pipeline if the windows version comes out first, at least it will either get me excited, or let me know to put the idea on the back burner for yet another year . I was also shocked to learn during my enquiries to PG, and via the forum ..., - that BIAB 2016 was still a 32 bit app, with 16 bit files (audiophile version) .., these BIAB shortcomings (for me) was a deal breaker .., that technology IMO is a dinosaur thats nearly extinct. I first want to see PG show some commitment for their customers in moving toward the future (actually into 'the now') ..., hopefully there will be big 'modern' changes in BIAB 2017 . cheers

OP, Don't neglect the fabulous video tutorials on PG Music and on YouTube. Much effort has been invested in answering feature questions pre-sale.
I, for one, find it much easier to learn by watching an expert doing it a few times.

DE,
I'm betting the world's greatest thinkers did a large percentage of their best accomplishments in the "oothouse" (Canadian). Take your laptop in with you.
Honestly, I have dyslexia and visual seems to be the ONLY way I can learn in my Autumn years.
I'm still having fits trying to wrap my head around Real Band. lol

You are not alone in your reaction! In fact, on this forum, you will find quite a few of us who are very vocal about our desires to see PG move the software into the present! HOWEVER, the software is nothing short of AMAZING! Yes, an outdated interface that is hard to use with tons of features and options that are hidden away in complex menus...BUT there is absolutely nothing like it on the planet! Once you make the investment to figure it out you can make some truly amazing music! The RealTracks are somewhere out beyond FANTASTIC regardless of being 16 bit. You can make demos (or even finished songs) that will fool most of the best folks in the business into thinking you recorded everything in a studio with session players! My only advice would be to wait for a December deal. But if you are interested in making great music, for fun or for profit, BIAB is a must-have tool for your arsenal!

Gee Don "Take your laptop in with you." I don't spend that much time, but enough to read about 10 pages of "printed text".

Actually, PG has always been generous in this regard and have upgraded purchases made a reasonable time before the new version is released. I'm sure that if you purchase now that they will still extend all the new benefits. That is how they do things!PG Music stands head and shoulders above whomever is in second place. Donny

+1 on what said john john, and don't forget that if you buy now (and at the FULL price), you will regret it, cause on december, usually with the launch of the new version, there is a mega-super-deal christmas sale with prices cut off!
Just my two cents

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
