Hello All I am having a problem with BiaB 2016. Specifically, the lead sheet is unreadable as it is completely black. I've played with a few settings but none address the problem. FYI, I upgraded from an older version of BiaB and this issue never occurred in the earlier version. Any ideas? Thanks! EDIT: Forgot to add, I am running BiaB on Windows 7 64-bit. Screenshot:

Welcome to the forum.
I'm surprised you have this problem, but you should be able to fix it by doing one of these things:
1) call PG Music Support on Monday. They are Pacific time. Info is in the Support tab, above.
2) in the Lead Sheet window, click on the Opt. button (upper left) which you can still see, and click on Restore Defaults.
3) Options menu at the top, Return to Factory Settings
4) If that somehow fails, experiment with the Display settings. BIAB 2016 had a major make-over of the visual interface, and provides many more settings than before. Your screen looks like you have black on black for the lead sheet. To adjust the Display settings, go back to the Chordsheet (the window behind this black one) and right-click on DIsplay Options. I'll look for someplace the lead sheet is adjusted.

I second Matt's "Welcome".
My system is Windows 7, 64-bit and the lead sheet window is fine. Often when colours go AWOL, the 'Return to factory settings' that Matt suggests will fix the problem.
Also, if you enter into the Display Options (right-click on a cell on the chord-sheet and select 'Display Options'), there's a return to default settings for the display at the very bottom of the window. It's called "Defaults".

A big thanks for the welcomes and suggestions!
I tried restoring defaults and looked at various colour settings in Options > Preferences > Display (though I didn't change any as they looked to be fine). I will try calling support tomorrow.

Video driver and Monitor resolution can do strange things sometimes.
1 Try changing monitor resolution.
2 Update video driver, or if you have a dedicated video card go into device manager and temporary disable your video card to see how it goes.

OK, I updated to the latest video driver and I can now see the lead sheet fine (amd vid). This is very strange as I have updated my drivers at least a few times over the course of the year to try and fix this with no success. Oh well, I'm happy that it works now. Thanks to all for posting a reply!

This kind of thing would freak me out too. Wow.
This is also yet another reason to give all your computer spec's along with a question. The spec's could have tipped one of us off as well especially if you're running an older system.

This one was tough. It's unlikely we could have diagnosed this down to the driver level. I've never seen this effect from video drivers where one window works and one does not. Perhaps though we can expect that everyone posting is up-to-date on all drivers and versions.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
