Every so often when I use punch in on a track there is a very slight click at the beginning of the punch in during playback. Is there any way to get rid of the these?

Yes.
Preventatively: (so they don't happen to begin with)
Save often or use Consolidate Audio. These help, but involve thinking ahead and have certain trade offs (Undo).
After the Fact:
If you happen to get one and want to salvage the take, open the track in the Audio Editor.
If you zoom in (using the + and - buttons in the Audio Editor) you can often see exactly where it occurs.
Cut the offending punch in (using the Keep Gap option) and it will disappear.
Another option to watch for during this Cut process is the 'Smooth Audio' check box.
This is designed to force the cut to create a 'zero crossing point'. This helps eliminate clicks/pops you may inadvertently cause by the edit. The waveform is altered to accommodate the edit.
Lastly (and it it shouldn't be last as it helps a TON with accuracy)..
Set your resolution to 3840.
Options-Resolution
This allows MUCH finer edits for audio. You can highlight and Cut a much more defined section.
This trick applies to all edits; the higher your resolution the more precise you can be.
BiaB = 120 max. (unfortunately this is the default Resolution for RB/PT also)
RB/PT offers 3840 max. Much more precise. I say this every chance I get because it is huge when working with audio. Change your Resolution to 3840 and your audio editing gets so much more accurate.
TBH, even recording a live MIDI signal becomes more accurate. At 120, the MIDI signal is effectively quantized to the nearest 120th of a beat as it is written to disk.
At 3840 instead .. well you can do the math. Much more realistic to how it was actually played (timing is more accurate) .. the numbers are bigger is all.

To expand on what RHARV said regarding ticks... at 120 ticks per quarter note, you can get town to a 32nd note at 15 ticks per 32nd note. However, if you go to a 64th note, you have to decide whether you want it to be 7 ticks or 8 ticks, as it doesn't do 7.5 ticks.
At 3840 resolution, however, a 128th note is 120 ticks (which is what you started with above). So a lot more headroom to play with at 3840.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
