Sometimes when I add an intro using the AABA Form button to "generate Intros", the side stick count-in has a strong reverb connected to it. A soon as you get past the 1..3...1,2,3,4 side stick, the reverb level drops back to normal. Is there a way to stop or reduce the amount of reverb with the count-in?
I've tried to use the Options, Preferences, Count-in but this has no effect on the reverb level. I've also tried to reduce the reverb on the entire drum track but this has little effect as well.
Does anyone know a way to do this?
Jeff

I'm guessing you got a Realdrums count-in and then changing to MIDI drums for the song (maybe?)
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

No that's what confusing about this Rharv. I took an older BIAB MG2 file I downloaded from the net and add a new style to it. The only MIDI in it is from the lead that I play on my keyboard, the RealTrack style is _AUTUMN.sty
Just to explore your idea a bit, I opened the file in RB, no MIDI other than the melody. Maybe it's in the style itself, I'll try to change that and see what happens.
Do appreciate your thoughts, Jeff

I kind of still think my above answer may apply.
If the Metronome count-in is enabled during Record in the Prefs-Metronome option; once the song starts I think it uses the default DXi synth (so it changes the source).. but for the 'Count-In' part it uses either the Windows default synth or a Realtrack (if generated).
Is there an audio track showing the count in somewhere?
Usually RD count-ins play the pattern you describe, whereas the Metronome does a more strict 1-2-3-4 count-in. At least in my experience

My guess; The count in is being played by whatever synth is the default windows synth. That is, whatever midi synth is attached to windows media player. Suggestion; open a drum midi file in windows media player and listen if it is buried in the same reverb. Or, check your sound card properties to see if there is a reverb effect turned on.
Does the noise in your head bother me ?

If you are using RealDrums, the count-in will also be RealDrums. If the drums are midi, then the count-in will be midi.

Right John, that's where the issue seems to lie. There is no recording going on this is all being played live. No internal sound card issues...I use an external Yamaha Motif rack for the lead, so all sound is either the RealTracks / RealDrums or the single MIDI channel lead.
When I pull the song over to RB, I can see the RealDrum count-in, there is no other count-in other than the RealDrum. Yet, and here is the strange part, in RB, the reverb of the count-in is significantly reduced.
Still plodding along, learning BIAB after having spent years with RB....having fun!
Appreciate all the helpful comments and teachings along the journey.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
