I really enjoyed this one Floyd. There's some excellent chord charting going on behind those great vocals and backing vocals. This one is one of my favorites that's been posted here on the forum in a while. It's more sophisticated than it sounds - now go humble yourself and thank your wife...

Hello, floyd
Really nice melody and vocals as usual! The simple blues chord progression is very pleasant. The tight drums are also very comfortable. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Love this from the very beginning. Sounds like an old Waylon Genings song and God knows I love me some outlaw music. Great vocal harmonies and superb guitar work.

Wow, you nailed this! Very, very catchy and just an overall example of strong songwriting. I loved the harmonies on this, and that kickin guitar solo at at around 1:45. I wouldn't bat an eyelash hearing this on the radio among classic hits. Great job on this - thanks so much for sharing Thanks, Deryk! Very nice of your to say... I think that RealTrack - 2688:Guitar, Electric, Soloist RockBrentSimple - is one of the best ever done. I've used it in several songs recently - and get a little bit different flavor in each of them - so it does not seems redundant at all...

Floyd, I like the way you turned your wife`s comment into a back-at-ya song! This song has one of the catchiest choruses I`ve heard here and those Janice harmonies are mixed so we can hear how good she is. Also that little vocal swoop you do on "little bit of me" is cool. Excellent!
Robert Robert - thanks for noting those things. You always seem to pick up on "the details"... that is TRULY appreciated... Well Floyd, first of all I hope you guys are still together ? Yeah, I know, the same goes for Rob from time to time. I think it's a 'male musician' kind of thing But the song, however, is very nice, not too overbearing. Good backing vocals by Janice. Anne-Marie Anne-Marie - thanks for that. I always love having Janice singing with me...

I just gave this a second and third listen. At first I thought this sounded like a Waylon song (and still does) but it just hit me... This sounds so much more like Ween "[*****] Up A Rope."
I absolutely love the feeling you've captured here. Great tune for sure. Keep up the great songwriting.

Once again Floyd, tight pro sound with flawless vocal performance! I like the way Janice switched from harmony to unison and then back to harmony in the chorus! Great job getting those guitars all tightly working together in the rhythm bed! Very catchy tune! Thanks, Torrey Thanks, Torrey. Always enjoy hearing what you have to say about these. (You are really knocking out of the park these days!) Well you did it again, another great tune in my genre again, fantastic, keep it up!!!!!!! Thanks, Steve - always nice to see you pop in... Hi Floyd,
Liked it a bunch! A touch of the classic sound with lots of modern country music treatment. Janice's harmony os, as always, splendid. The girl can song! And that lead male vocal track is pretty danged good, too!
Yo9u always give us nothing but first class entertainment - just another example here. You set the bar pretty danged high fro the rest of us. Thanks for a super listen! Good stuff from beginning to end. \ Alan Thanks, Alan. I appreciate all that. I know Janice does, too... hope y'all are doing good... (you are doing some cool stuff theses days, too...)

The harmonies really lift this already cool track. My only crit would be the kick drum sounds a little too clicky. Small nit though. Cool.
Thanks, Ray. A lot of the music I listen to uses a rather "clicky" kick... Love the backtrack on this. Great vehicle for a very cool vocal and lyric. Guitar was exceptional. Well done Appreciate you stopping by, Scott...

I definitely enjoyed this.... the arrangement, vocals... Simplicity mastered LPMan - thanks... floyd, this is another one of your "hits"! Very well crafted. Sounds like something Vince Gill would do - and that's a real compliment in my book.
You just keep cranking them out.
Great sound, and feel to this one. Everything well up to your usual standards of excellence!
Steve
Thanks, Steve. Appreciate that. Your new one is over-the-top good..

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
