Hi All :-)

With budget constraints in mind, we offer our full band at a price (5 piece) and can then whittle it down to 4 and 3 piece band.

As a three piece we would forfeit the drummer in favour of programmed drums.
I have never worked with BIAB but am fairly good on the mac.

I do not think that the full BIAB (audiophile) is necessary to produce just a drum track.
For instance, if I wanted to cover Bublé's version of "Sway", could I load in the mp3 and have Real Drums do the rest with some tweaks at the end?

And, which, (lean as possible) package would I need for this?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Pierre

Hi. All versions of BIAB have the same core program. The differences are audiophile (AIFF uncompressed for Mac) versus M4a compressed files. You should look for the various add-ons to see the genres you prefer and consider purchasing some add-on paks. PG Music Sales can probably give you some good advice on this.

You will probably want to use some form of DAW software, perhaps Garage Band, to make your final edits.

Another topic will involve what you use to load and play back your MP3 files and amplify them on the gig.

Hi Pierre,

If you only require Realdrums and not Realtracks, then you might also
want to consider PowerTracks.

This is basically a cut-down version of Realband, but it still has the ability
to generate Realdrum tracks.

It might be the cheaper option.

ROG.

And PowerTracks 2018 was just released. It's $49 new or $29 to upgrade from a previous version.
