hello i am recording real time midi using the qwerty keyboard
scenario open any song click record midi ...then option to record to melody or soloist. click record record using qwerty ......i get no problems. i use the midi play along wizard see image.
so..as long as the song is playing (whilst in wizard mode) i can record live midi or simply play along without recording in play mode
when i try to use qwerty whilst the song is not playing or recording, the play along wizard does not work,(i know the wizard says "play along"but is there a way for me to use the play along wizard whilst the song is not playing or recording.
also i can see from the tutorial that the bottom row on qwerty is for the root,3rd,5th and 7th and row above is for the 2nd,4th and 6th i cant seem to find anything for the live entering of chromatic
any advice please
edit im sorted with chromatic notes,just found it in tutorial "turn smart notes off"

rebuilt styles,songs and real tracks. win 10...amd a10 radeon r6 4c+6g 1.8ghz 64 bit hp envy biab 2023 with 1004 build. styles 1 to 429 plus extras 1,2,3,4 and 6. running as admin,cleaned up returned to factory settings.

Perhaps submit a wish list to toggle regular keyboard entry and QWERTY playalong. Although, if you have the skills, an external MIDI keyboard is a much more elegant solution, as you then also can get velocity, pitch bends, and pedal action.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
