When I Wake Up In The Morning A country rock song about the end of a relationship that Janice kindly agreed to sing harmony on. Leon - Lyric and vocal Janice - Backing vocals I played lead guitar. P,L&J, I sure do like this one. Great lyrics and vocals. Really nice guitar work. As Dave pointed out especially the outro. My favorite part is the unexpected ear catching chord progressions for the solos. What a great idea. I thoroughly enjoyed my listen, Tom

Very well done you guys! The groove here is infectious and had my toe tapping within a few short measures. And the track has such a catchy, happy tonality to it. This is the precisely the kind of thing I'd belt along to on a road trip. Great work, and thanks for sharing
Cheers, Deryk

Peter & Leon (and Janice)...
Really enjoyed this. A good write (a lot of words!).
Cool tracks - very supportive of the lyric. Nice mix.
Nice guitars all over the place! Leon's usual strong vocal. Janice's usual "sugar on the top"...
A fun one.

Peter, There are too many nuggets in those fun lyrics to quote - this is Leon at his sardonic best. Musically its just as much fun and your outro is great! Thanks for giving me a toe tapping smile.

This sound has such a lovely feel to it! I especially loved the part
"You can tell me that your promises, were ones you meant to keep. And though you had to break them they were never given cheap."
Really lovely job! Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Ember

Soooo good in so many ways. Excellent write, production, singing. Toe tapping goodness, with clever lyrics to boot. Plus, you made me look up Pablo Neruda.

Peter, Leon and Janice,
This is incredibly entertaining.
Peter: you guitar work, arrangement and mixing are excellent. The country-swing feel grabbed hold of my feet and refused to let them rest. From the beginning, I was tapping my toes along with your presentation. I always love hearing your play.
Leon: your ear-catching melody, clever lyrics and relaxed, easy singing make this an impossible song to put down once it starts. I have never come across 'contagion' in a lyric before. Also your use of 'thee' is incredibly clever. You've taken an archaic word and managed to make it sound conversational in a modern way. Then there are all those other lyric gems... the journey from coffee to knitting to Marvel comics to viruses to... you weave a very entertaining story!
Janice: it is always a delight to hear you sing. Whether it's solo, duet, background or foreground, you nail it every time! And every time I find myself just drifting along listening to you.
All the best, Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
