My only hesitation about streaming the show is; these ol' phartz are normally heavily sedated (ala One Flew Over The Cocos Nest) so I don't expect a lot of action. Just from my perspective, I HEAR music. I don't WATCH music. So if the ol' phartz are sedated or not, this approaching old phart will not be and I'll be able to listen just fine, likely while playing chess in another window.....
I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

While stationed in Germany for 5 years our 14-year-old babysitter humbled me at chess. After a terribly humiliating few wipeouts, she told me that her dad was Grand Master of Nuremberg, Bavaria and they played chess constantly since they didn't have a TV. Her name is Margot (sound the 't') and she married a GI and currently lives in Milan, Michigan. We are still in touch after all these 50 years. Margot taught me proper German which I have since lost through disuse. Fortunately, beer is the same in both languages. LOL Thanks for awakening these wonderful glimpses into my past.

I loved shashlik (kabobs) which is actually an Armenian finger food generally only available at major beer fests.
At that time, the exchange rate was 4DM=1$ and shashlik was 1 DM each. They were chicken livers, gizzards, hearts, green pepper, and onion smothered in curry powder and on a stick. I'm making myself hungry and they are coming down the hall with pureed whatsoever.
My wife got sufficiently proficient in German that she would do her clothes shopping on the 'economy' as they called local stores to the comic joy of clerk girls.

Actually, in German, they say Fahrt for 'drive' so we'll just get in our BMWs and Fahrt along the autobahn at 200km/hr (no speed limits on the autobahn) before we ausfahrt to blow the foam off of a few Dunkle brau.
They would deliver beer right to our door. The cases where only 20 flip top bottles (4x5 rows) but probably 12% so we'd be elbow walking quite early in the aubenen.
A great guitarist from Duluth literally lived at our place and we would often jam two cases worth. I had my Strat and he had a Gibson (forgot the model). Great memories, my friend. Thank you.

I used to get beer delivered to the door when I was stationed in Germany. And there was a restaurant we used to go to that served wonderful shashlik.

Yep, we lived in a little farming community (on the economy, as opposed to on base) just outside Würzburg, Germany. On Saturday mornings, we used to get up, walk about a block down to the local bäckerei/metzgerei (on the village's main street) to get freshly made brötchen along with freshly butchered meats for breakfast. Absolutely delicious.
I understand that now, however, that little community (like so many other places) is no longer a little farming village, but instead a fully built-up suburb of Würzburg.
I do hope your concert presentation goes well. I know folks will have a blast and that it will touch their hearts.

Yes, my wife still phones Margot who tells us that we'd never recognize the area, it's now a sprawling shopping center. Until her mother died about two years ago, Margot would go back often.
I really enjoy reminiscing about that very happy era. Thank you, John.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
