I have BiaB 2018 Ultra Pack and purchased the Xtra Pack 5 back in August when it was on sale and already have the extra packs that were described as mandatory for the new styles.
I am finding that I get the stick count and then silence followed by dialogue boxes stating the the required Real Tracks are missing.
Sadly this problem is now happening with styles that I have used in the past and I'm wondering if there was a corruption on the installation of the Xtra Pack.
Anyone else had this problem or does tech support have any ideas as to what may be wrong.
2. on the lower left side of the Realtrack picker window, there's an option to "Show Realtracks that are N/A" -- select this option
3. Click on the heading of the display column labeled "N/A" and this will sort the Realtracks so that the N/A are located at the top or bottom of the list (depending on if you clicked once or twice) -- you might need to scroll through the list to the top or the bottom.
4. In the column labeled "Set" have a look to see which Realtrack set numbers have not been installed.
5. If you need to expand the column to see the full set number, place the mouse cursor over the left edge of the column in the heading row and click and drag the mouse to the right.
Thanks for the replies, sorry about being late in acknowledging this, things have been hectic here and until I revisited the project in question I had completely forgotten that I had asked for help.
I'll have a look using the suggestions above and come back with the results.
These have not been found, I still have to do some digging to see if these are supposed to be included in what I have purchased before going the whole 9 yards with re-install.
You're supposed to have all those Style and Soloist sets.
I see what happened, at least partially.
You had a 2018 Pro, then bought an UltraPAK as a download, but when you installed the UltraPAK, I think you only installed the RealTracks, and didn't download and run your new Band-in-a-Box installer (likely because you already had 2018 installed). The Band-in-a-Box installer that came with the UltraPAK came with all those MIDI Soloists and Styles that weren't in the Pro.
This doesn't quite explain why you'd be getting messages about RealTracks missing though, as your last post indicates you're only missing one set.
Currently downloading all files from my account again and so far have reinstalled the BiaB package and the basics that come with it.
Some time this century all the rest of the packages will download and install via the Download/Installer tool ( hopefully by the time I wake up in the morning )
If this fixes the problem I will uninstall and reinstall on my laptop as well
That should take care of it, but please let us know if it doesn't!
Cheers Kent PG Music
Will do, I've done the base installation and plus the optional packs I purchased and it has just finished downloading all packages via the download manager and re-installation is underway.
Download was frustratingly slow because Netflix had killed my download cap for the months so I got a bit above dialup speeds ( 1.8M )
Once complete I'll run the cleanup routine and check the packages
Those two packages have always been a separate purchase (I imagine for licensing reasons).
I remember receiving set 14 and 15 (the Jeff Lorber soloists) as an add-on, but don't recall ever seeing 12 and 13 available other than a separate purchase (which I did many many years ago).
They are both MIDI-based styles, so no Realtracks there. But they are still available for purchase, if you want them. Check out +++ this page +++.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
