Hi All,

Things have been very busy lately, but I wanted to take some time to share something new.

This is called 24 Minutes.

Are you devastated baby
Do you dream in greys and navy
Are you California bound
Have you found a brand new town

24 minutes waiting for the taxi
Airplane in the rain about to taxi
Another phone call where's the cabbie
Flying through the city in a Checker taxi

Are you devastated baby
Do you miss me a little maybe
Are you San Diego sunshine
Have you found a brand new coastline

24 minutes waiting for the taxi
Airplane in the rain about to taxi
Another phone call where's the cabbie
Flying through the city in a Checker taxi

Are you devastated baby
Do you think New York is rainy
Are you living your best life
Have you burned away the night

24 minutes waiting for the taxi
Airplane in the rain about to taxi
Another phone call where's the cabbie
Flying through the city in a Checker taxi

24 minutes waiting for the taxi
Airplane in the rain about to taxi
Another phone call where's the cabbie
Flying through the city in a Checker taxi

No worries about being busy! We all go through periods where we're swamped.

Really enjoyed your use of the RealTracks! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rob. I enjoyed this. I like the extra long intro and also the bridge.
Really nice work. Rob4580

Nice to hear a new one from you. Enjoyed it - always like your vocal no exception, nice chord solos and
a good catchy chorus.

Very nice.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Robert,

Your song sounds very good. Like David said, right away from verso to chorus and back. No hesitation at all ;-)
And I liked those guitarstrokes in it and in the solopart. They give the song that rocky dimension.

Wow!

Great lyric, vocals and band and packed into 2 minutes.

That is such a cool lyric...loving the play on words with taxi.

AND as always a great sparse arrangement with the perfect choice of BiaB goodies.

Excellent

"Are you devastated baby
Do you dream in greys and navy"

Love that opening, Bob. I was in a cafe in Glacier National Park last week where they were playing early Neil Young - "After The Gold Rush" - and as I was singing along (remember how we used to know all the words to an album??) it struck me - for the first time - how much NY's writing "makes me think" with every line. I spent the rest of the day singing those early songs (through Harvest) to myself, thinking about them (some for the first time)... A long-winded recounting in order to say... YOUR writing is like that. Every line is like a new scene from the movie it is telling...

Good BAND. The electric works well - the way you used chords for a lead was cool!!

Good to see you back. Enjoyed!

Wow - you did a great job on this one, Robert smile The chorus is seriously addictive. Instantly attention-grabbing, and your gruff vocals lend merit to the lyricism on this one. It flows smooth as water, and the fact you jam packed it into barely 2 minutes made it stick all the more for me.

Thanks for sharing!

Cheers,
Deryk

Big fan here, loved the driving groove and the guitar break, the chorus came too quick for me but many good songs do that (Walk Away Renee) and I got used to it on multiple listens. Of course the lyrics are the main act and they do not disappoint.

Bob,

Slick, clean sound as always. Love the first two lines of the second verse—sweet line. Some part of me was looking for a bridge on this one . . . just some subtle accent to swell up to that final chorus. But it’s all good as is . . . nicely done tune—enjoyed it!

All the best,

Deej

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
