Appreciate all the kind words about the last song I posted. For this one, I used the realstyle Leaf Celtic Songwriter Trio as a base. Added cello, strings, electric guitars (2448 and 3230). Also replaced the 12-string acoustic with 3057 acoustic fingerpicking. Vocals & mix in Logic Pro X. I Keep My Distance

This is fantastic! I liked everything about this. Your vocal was outstanding. Your backing tracks and mix are super also. I really like your lyrics.

There's a clunky chord change at 11 seconds.
Lovely vocal and narrative.
Your voice sits in a very intimate place within the mix and should get a little attention to plosives and essing to enhance that.

Roger, I liked everything about this! I think this is the first song of yours that I've had the pleasure of listening to, and I'm glad to know you through it!
One thought I had as I was listening is that your southern accent helps you make some Rhymes that, in my Yankee accent, would never fly, like "on" and "drawn...
It was a very peaceful song and, taking the message in your lyric, I figure you live a pretty peaceful life as well. Thanks for posting!

Appreciate the feedback....however, there is no chord change at 11 seconds. The song begins with 6 consecutive bars of the same chord - after listening a few times, I'm not quite sure what it is you're referring to.

I really enjoyed this song. Another solid write, arrangement, production and performance. A side note. I let your channel continue playing as I wrote my comments and your song "I've been colder" came on. The song title reminded me of actor/singer Sheb Wooley's alter ego 'Ben Colder' he used specifically to record parodies of country hits throughout his career. He told the story and joked how he introduced himself - "Ben Colder here." and once received the response, "ain't been no colder here than anywhere else." Second side note. My wife really likes and enjoys "She Couldn't Care Less".

Thanks Charlie. I actually got to spend a decent amount of time with Sheb when I first moved to Nashville in the early 80s. Always got a kick out of the Ben Colder stuff.
