I think most of you on here will know Don Gaynor.
This is just a simple song which Eddie and I composed
in recognition of his courage, his humanity and just to
say thank you for his being inspirational and making us all
laugh over the years.

It's a joint effort throughout, including the lyrics and vocals.
Anything G# or lower is Eddie, anything above that is me.

The Memory Never Fades
Take a look at what you see
And you might see a change in me
A kind of sadness in my eyes
You only see when someone dies
But I know the memory that's left behind never fades

A country boy, and as he grew
A stronger man I never knew
Takes what life has sent his way
And makes the best of every day
But I know the memory that's left behind never fades

We live our lives the best we can
To prove the measure of a man
And pray to God our final show
Will leave them laughing when we go.
But I know the memory that's left behind never fades

Don, I'm proud to call you a friend.

I was pleased, honored and proud when Rog asked me to be part of this song. Now Don, do your part and make this song WAY premature!

Don has been moved to hospice care. That's not a fatal thing as some hospice patients at his facility have been there for as long as 10 years. Oirishmen leave when THEY say it's time.

Greg,

I'm still very much alive!

Hospice allows stronger pain control is the main benefit so Norco has my pain well under control now. I'm happy as if I had better sense.

Thanks for your concern.

ROG & Eddie,
A sweetly rockin` tribute to the indefatigable Don- long may you grace the hallways wherever you are and the pages here!
I like the rhythm section on this and that lovely harmonised refrain.

I feel that as long as I keep goals in front of me then I'll be fine. Dr. Peter keeps me busy backstage. Thank you, Peter.

Enjoyable tribute. Nicely rolling pop-rock tune with catchy melody and great message, "...And pray to God our final show Will leave them laughing when we go" - I really like that part. Excellent vocals.

Hi Eddie and Rog,

Kind of an understatement, but this is such a fine tribute to your friend.
Being someone who can't play the guitar, I really enjoyed your playing. Also, the vocals and harmonies were really well done.

Thanks for posting it.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
