Hi All. Just a bit of lockdown-madness-inspired Rock from me and Eddie - it's probably about 50-50. The file crossed the Atlantic more times than British Airways has done recently and I've lost track of what's in there. There are a couple of RT keyboards which Eddie added, an acoustic RT buried in there somewhere, and the other guitars are mine. Interestingly, the drum samples this time are from a 1980s Simmons kit which a friend had - Simmons were used on almost every rock track in the 80s. Eddie's singing the lead and I'm on the BVs. There's not much to the lyrics which are a bit banal anyway, but if you can't make them out I'll list them later. In case there was any doubt, this is a song about a car journey. BETTER CALL YOUR MAMADon't take it too seriously - we didn't. ROG

ROG & Eddie, I turned up the spoken word intro and the drums crashing have damaged my drums! Very good rollicking fun- loose backing with great guitar breaks cutting in. Fit to purpose gents; well done.

Excellent mix. The piano sits nicely. The guitar loud and proud.

That was my homage to Jim Steinman! LOL!!! The initial intro went on for 2 minutes longer!

ROG & Eddie ,,,
Just so dang cool! I love this stuff! To my ears, it has somewhat of an early Garage Band feel. I like how the music is spread horizontally across the spectrum. It fills the space completely without the slightest hint of clutter.
A great, fun-filled journey that put a big smile on this face. totally loved it!
Best to both of you. Be safe, wherever you are ...

And the irony is that we will likely never meet! Maybe the distance is WHY we work well together. When I work with people locally they get on my &@^%#$% nerves by the end of the second session.

I am just going to shamelessly bump this back to the top. I don't want to play the "new mix", "new vocals" BS game to bump back to the first page. I'll just say it up front. Nothing has changed. I just want some more names to see the song that haven't already commented.

J&B Hi there J&B, Many thanks for looking in - always much appreciated. It still amazes me how easy it is for Eddie and me to work across such vast distances. We've been doing this for many years, but one of these days I'm gonna overcome my fear of flying and hop on a plane to Ohio for a visit. Hey, glad you enjoyed the track. Cheers, ROG.

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
