Fights Like A Girl

It’s a enough to drive you crazy if you let it

maybe she’s just playin me and it’s really not my fault

If I had a lot of money I wouldn’t bet it

on a love that’s bound to fall that’d be crazy after all

I Guess I may never know why

Time and time again she just about does me in

She really knows how to rock and roll my world

She blows Hot then she blows cold I don’t know where to begin

She always looks like a lady but always fights like a girl

It’s never slow and easy she’s always in a rush

She’s a master class in cussing she can make a sailor blush

She digs in on her opinions not one to compromise

If she ever lets her guard down it would come as a surprise

I Guess I may never know why

Time and time again she just about does me in

She really knows how to rock and roll my world

She blows Hot then she blows cold I don’t know where to begin

She always looks like a lady but always fights like a girl

Great to see you back around bro.

Man, what a production. We are immediately reminded that you are a master of dynamics and segment segues and great drums and great vocal/guitar performances and great mixes, etc., etc., etc.

Two verses and a chorus. So often if you can't say it with that there may be nothing much to say. smile

Keep 'em coming!

Wow.

Starts out the gate with a bang. Quiet verses, then bang into the chorus.

Big guitars, layered vocals, pounding drums.

Fun listen! laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hey Tom ...

Good to hear from you again! IU was absent from the site for about 2 months until last week. We sure do miss out on a lot of good music when we're away - don'tcha think?

Nice contrast between verse and chorus - which is mutually rewarding. Your songs always capture and keep the listeners' attention. In the choruses, I like the really full soundscape - there's something everywhere from left to right, front to rear. Yet nothing steps on anything else. Everything has the needed space to do its part. That doesn't happen by accident - a fair amount of talent and knowledge goes into that.

Another cool song from you that put a smile in my ears. Take care ...

Alan

Wonderful song, Tom. Welcome back. Wow, 5 months on the road. Good to hear. Live gigs are pretty scarce around here. Man, that chorus really grabs ya. The perfect hook. As always, your vocal and guitars steal the show and seal the deal. Very well crafted.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Welcome back, Tom! (the place has gotten somewhat hectic since you were here last)

...and welcome back to those signature killer sounds - an incredible mix - crisp, clear, clean...everything in the perfect place.

Good vocals. Excellent guitar work.

The title was perfect to start with. I really liked how you differentiated the verse and the chorus--from an instrument perspective what did you do there?

Production, melody, writing, guitar playing, length, just good on all accounts. I always look forward to seeing you post.

Bob, the verses are mostly acoustic guitar with lots of held chords, the chorus is a Les Paul and a Tele panned l&r with overdrive and a bigger drum sound. Thanks for the nice comments,Tom
