Hello all..
Just signed up..
Bought BIAB yesterday with a view to just using it to practice piano with, but I'm impressed at how powerful it seems..
I have a question..
Is it possible to change the layout of the midi for the drum tracks?..

P I believe you are talking about drum maps; if I'm wrong let me know. BiaB's MIDI map is for GM drums; it has to be because BiaB uses the MIDI GM sound source. If you need/want a different drum map you must do the changes in your DAW or sound source. However some good MIDI drums include a GM map. For instance Addictive Drums include a GM map so it will work with BiaB, but you will lose some percussion as good MIDI drums only include the kit and not things like bongos, congas, shakers, etc. They must be purchased separately. I bring BiaB tracks into my DAW, Studio One Pro 5, and do most of my work there. In Studio One I have a number of drum maps for my MIDI drum sounds sources. You can get better GM MIDI drum sounds in SFZ and/or SF2 sound sources. Sforzando (SFZ) is included with BiaB, but you will have to assign a drum kit to BiaB's MIDI drums, i.e. channel 10. You can play BiaB's GM sounds with Soundfonts (SF2) and there are some great sounding GM sounds in some SF2s. There are a few free SF2 players available. Another option is to download the free Cakewalk by Bandlab. It contains a very good GM sound set, i.e. TTS-1. I hope this helps.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
