Thank you folks!
I moved my songs to the songs folder and it now makes more sense.

Deb. what i do start of each new year is create a new songs folder for that year SEPERATE FROM ANY PG PRODUCT. so for 2022 its called SONGS2022. then within that folder i have sub folders for each song created. so lets say i have a song called "airedale rock" (i like airedale dogs lol .sadly wife and i lost last one to old age.) thus the sub folder , say created in april 2022 .. would be named AIRROCKAPR22. makes back ups simple.
best om ps seperate within the songs folder i have one more sub folder called TEMPLATES 2022. containing all my biab/rb and reaper daw templates.

FWIW, I do dates for some things and I usually start with the year, then optionally month and date as numbers, then any description. This way, things always sort in date order, e.g.:
2021Songs/ 20210523-HolidayPhotos/
Not everyone likes dates ordered like that, but it works for me :-)

It's international standard and logical with most significant numbers first, i.e. yyyy-mm-dd
On the latest Win version

I use yyyy-mm-dd on all of my project/song folders as well to keep alphabetized by date.

Are you using the Song Picker Ctrl-F3 within BIAB? Life is complicated enough, let the computer keep track.
Check the metadata that Song Picker keeps for you ( Title, Location, Filename, Style, Key, tempo, etc. ) Filtering and Searching included
Even gives you a preview of the Chord sheet.

The computer keeps track of dates automatically, but sometimes they're not the dates I want to keep, for example, if I multitrack record a gig for later mix-down, the date I'm interested in is that of the gig, not of when I did the mixing. The same would be the case for photos of the gig.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I have BIAB files from 2012 when I started that could be put in a separate folder or several folders making the songs are am working on much more easier to find.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
