YOU STILL LOVE ME

This will be my last song post for 2022 (With the exception of an album release announcement). I will keep dropping in occasionally to see what everyone is up to. This song is my true testimony of how I feel about forgiveness! It's a re-write with Ron Helm of a song I posted a couple of years ago under a different title. Ron and I thank everyone who takes a moment to listen! T

BIAB
Drums - Modern Pop Ballad 16th's on 2 stereo tracks

YOU STILL LOVE ME
Words and music by Torrey Bliss and Ron Helm
©2022 Glass Gate Music BMI

My conscience torn
It torments me
For the way I've treated you
But still, You're there
You forgive me
I'm starting over
All things are new

You looked beyond my failures
And saw just what I need
I once was blind
Now I see how much You still love me

I stand amazed
That You call me friend
Even when I feel that I'm no good
You proved your love for me nailed upon the cross
As the blood flowed down Your side
If I'd only been there
I'd see real love in Your eyes

You looked beyond my failures
And saw just what I need
I was so blind
Now I see how much You still love me

You shined your light
To the depths of my soul
Exposing things, I thought I'd hid
Far away from You
When I was down
You set me on my feet again
I'm gonna walk with You 'til the end

You looked beyond my failures
And saw just what I need
I was so blind
Now I see how much You still love me

Another purely Torrey Bliss song! There is a unique timbre to your songs...vocally and instrumentally...the best songs are the pieces of our hearts set to melody and you have revealed yours here...I love the transition out of the drone chord that carries the verse to the chorus...the mix is right on...harmonies are excellent and the solo is great! I know the album you and Ron are constructing will be fabulous...cause we've got to hear a great deal of it...I will certainly miss your posts...I hope to hear from you again soon! My highest regards...Dan

Your song has a Pink-Floydish vibe, which I like a lot.
You have the perfect voice for this kind of music!

Hi Torrey & Ron ...

You gentlemen own the Pop-Christian segment of these forums. Your music is always pro-sounding and done so dang good! I think I've run out of accoldaes for your music. Will a sincere "Excellent - well done!" be okay?

You'll certainly be missed until you return. Wishing you the very best in your endeavors. Take care and be safe.

Man, oh, man. You and Ron deliver in such a HUGE way every time --consistently. So professional on every level. I like Dan's reference to Pink Floyd and Dave's longing for 2023. I cannot wait for the album you mention. You are one of my favorite songwriters, Torrey, and one of my favorite performers. Some say you have to see the performer in order to truly appreciate the performance. I'm blind to that.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Fabulous Torrey. As I first heard those lyrics I was thinking, "Man those guys wrote my song". All of it was good, but those lyrics really resonated with me. It was hitting home right from the first verse, I've felt those same feelings and you've put them to music like only you can. I actually keep a 3X5 card taped next to my bathroom mirror where I've written 2 Corinthians 5:17 to constantly remind me old things have passed away and all things have become new. Your productions always have such a high quality sound. I just now this is going to be a great album. I'm really going to miss hearing your stuff, so please, come back soon!

Hi, Torrey.

Dave already beat me to the word "stunning", but I'm going to use it again anyway.

Stunning. I have a vague recollection of the outline of the first version, but this is very cool. smile

Hello Torrey,

I'm sorry to read this song is your last song in 2022. How come? Still 3 months to go...
What a very good song you made!
Very good vocals (but that is almost 'normal'in your case) and an astonishing nice solo, wow, loved it!

If this is your goodbye for '22, what can I expect next year? (oh, Dave said the same, I noticed, sorry).

Enjoyed it a lot!

A excellent production Torrey.
The mix is great and the performances are terrific.
Lyrically it feels like a re-write though.
There are a couple of spots where sibilance jumps at me - but that's more my hearing than the production.
Your voice is forward, as it should be, and everything else supports it as they should.

Cheers

As always, you have delivered a pro mix and your performances vocally and instrumentally are stellar.

Eight vocal and nine guitar tracks? Wow. That is waaaaaay above our mix paygrade! smile

Your vocals reflect the sincerity of your lyric so well.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
