Scott,
This is an excellent venture into new song territory; dark, personal, with well considered instrumentation that supports the song.
Your vocal proves again you have the chops to sing anything!
Other listeners are hearing shades of some greats in this; I`ll add another- the solo work of Scott Walker- this has his intensity and willingness to experiment.

Ezekiel's Storm,

The contrast between Verse and Chorus is wonderful.
The classical music-like Verse and the rock music-like Chorus are connected very naturally.
The chord progression is great.
I can also see the ingenuity in your vocals.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Very relatable for this card-carrying introvert, Scott. Excellent vocal. Opens with a dreamy feel and then the energy kicks up a notch on the chorus. Really nice work as always.

Leon

Superb. Strong vibes of David Bowie, for me. That alternation of G major with E flat augmented is, of course, the underpinning structure of the song ... it works so well, in my view. The vocals are impressive ... not too much, not too little, just the right amount of passion, especially as this is a song about introverts. The arrangement is well balanced, and the lyrics are stellar. Bravo - loved it.

I am the opposite of introverted and LOVE (and understand) your song.
And the little piano arpeggio in the chorus is wonderful. I think I need to steal that wink

The whole song has something of the late Pink Floyd, but with better vocals!
Well done.

Scott,

That ethereal intro had me thinking I clicked on one of Mario's tunes it sounded great! Then when the drums came in it was like Pink Floyd with Bowie showed up! That repeating chord structure with the synth sounds really make the perfect vibe for you wonderful lyrics! I enjoyed your work here! Thanks, TB

Scott...finally an anthem for us introverts...the peaceful and deliberate nature of the music itself is an introverts answer for the chaotic nature of a lot of contemporary music...an interesting and well thought out piece...unique in subject matter and musical presentation...well done (though you really didn't need to hear me say that...did you?)

Hi Scott,

Very impressive on all levels! Excellent vocal, and I love the way you built the track.

I totally relate to the lyrics BTW, sounds like you wrote it about me wink

Interesting instrumentation on the first bit. Mellotron-ish while sounding modern.

The drum and guitars give an excellent contrast for the "chorus".

Vocals emote nicely. A bit retro, but not.

Cool. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanks, Dave. I am strongly introverted, but can fake my way socially. I am glad you can identify with the lyrics.

Thanks, David. I spent a lot of time messing around with the keyboard to get the sound I wanted.

Very interesting piece!!! Sounds like a song from a musical, both the presentation and the lyric which kind of defines a character. Very, very nice work!!! Vocal is just right for the song too!! Take care. Greg

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
