Al-David thank you for listening and your very kind words. It took most of 2023 to pull it off and I got in just under the wire.

Hi Gayle and husband David,

I start with you, Gayle. That was a challenge to do, all those Christmassongs!
And I heard a lot of joy in your vocals and sometimes the same weird thing David always has; Getting of the line in a way it more sounds like your song than that traditional one.
Very good! But sometimes beware not to sing too close to the mike, like you did in the first song.
But altogether, a lovely performance!
I don't have a wife that likes to sing (along or alone). That's a bit a pitty.
And, I read about a duet in one of the posts above here! I would say do it!!!
Thanks for the songs and see you around in the forum,

Hans

Thanks for listening Birchwood and for the feedback. I will keep the mic positioning in mind for future endeavors. I may be able to twist my husband's arm into a duet or two

Hi, Gayle.

Welcome to the forum! I had a listen to the sampler, as well as "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel". Nice arrangement! smile

I see you wisely avoided the version where the verse only rhymes on the printed page:

O come, Thou Key of David, come
   And open wide our heav'nly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.

That's a lot of music to put together, and you and David did a great job. Congratulations to you two!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Gayle, welcome to the forum. Your husband has brought a lot of smiles around here for a long time. It’s nice that you have joined the party. The excerpts sound great and I wish you and your family an early Happy Holidays, Tom

Well ain’t that cool! Welcome aboard and it’s gratifying to see an additional spousal music team on the forum. And, Gayle you are in for a great journey with BiaB. We joined 12 years ago and BiaB, the forum, and friends made here have inspired our music adventures - one of the many fun parts of our marriage. And your Christmas project has certainly set the stage here at the forum for many holiday songs to come. Oops we don’t have one yet smile

Hello Al-David, thanks for listening and for your kind words. I think doing to whole Christmas album, was more challenging than I thought it would be, but I loved doing it.

Hi Gayle.

Welcome to the forum.
I've just worked my way through snippets of many of the songs.
You've done a really fine job smile
As floyd said, it sounds like... an Album!
The task of finding suitable Christmas material across 10 centuries is enormous! I tip my proverbial hat to you. And as you say, historical disputes about age are everywhere.
When song's origins finally gets lost in the whirlpools of time, I've noticed that "Traditional" usually becomes the composer and lyricist.
I'm looking forward to hearing more of your work.

Thank you for sharing and giving me the chance to have a listen.
--Noel

I wanted to say "thank you" once again to everyone who listened to my songs. I believe I responded to everyone, but if I missed anyone please accept my apologies (it was not intentional). I hope everyone has a glorious holiday.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
