Cool Days It has been unusually cool around here as normally it would be cold and snowing. So I thought I might try a cool jazz type song. BiaB Style = Still New Age Piano Tempo = 50 BPM Bass and drums are an RD and RT from said style Piano - converted to MIDI - Farfisa - preset V-Jazz Chorus 2 Utility track - Kontakt - Amadeus - preset - Full Choir I am playing my Jay Turser jazz box guitar and via my keyboard controller the Swam tenor sax. As always all comments are welcomed.

Hm, cool tune indeed. Contrary to my neck of the woods it's been cooler that normal for this time of the year which I particularly welcome. I get tired of the hot weather most of the year. Thanks Mario
Cheers

Brrr! Mario, this is really "cool"! The harmonic movements and dissonance are hypnotic. Very nice guitar throughout, and the melodic figure at the end was a nice treat. Also loved the way the sax came in soft and low. A really fun piece to listen to, even though I'm more of a warm weather guy. Ha!

We have had the opposite weather up this way, quite a bit warmer than normal for this time of year. I'll take it!
Good stuff, Mario, cool melody on the guitar. Love it when the sax comes in!

Mario, I figure everyday around you is cool. Another cool-feeling musicscape. You paint so well with this BiaB palette and add so much more color and excitment with your talented contributions to the finish.

Good stuff, Mario, cool melody on the guitar. Love it when the sax comes in! Thanx Dave. By cool I meant warmer that usual. We are having the same weather as you. We normally are around 38F (3.3C) with around 20" (50.8Cm) of snow. We are in the 50sF (10C) with no snow! I'm not complaining!

Mario, I really like the dissonance with those notes ending the lines. The sax sounds amazing. You really know what you’re doing. Enjoyed, Tom

Listening to this I was visualising trees slightly swaying in the wind and snow - much more of a wintry scene than just cool weather. This is purely personal taste, but I find guitar's flat notes depressing and would have preferred something brighter. I just read Tom's comment, and he likes the "dissonance" of those notes, so it shows it's a matter of taste.

Hi Mario,
Your so cool song is exciting and also adventurous in a way. At first I thought there was something wrong with the piano ( I thought it was some kind of synth), but then I realized this was part of the cool plan! These dissonance waves were there because you wanted them to sound like that. So it was me who had to get used to this style. I couldn't, I fear. I really enjoy your creativity, but on (very rare) occasions I feel lost. But please continue experimenting!
I wish you a happy Christmas and good new year, Hans

Those chords were G13b9 and D7b9, both have an Ab and that was the note I emphasized. I knew some may not like this and that is OK. Thankfully we all are different!

Thanks for your explanation, Mario.
I fear I don't use those chords (don't even know them). And yes, as long as we can deal with it, differences are ok!
Bye, Hans

Sounds a bit dull and un-hifi, a little more treble for the backing tracks wouldn't hurt. But your saxophone playing sounds fine and more than makes up for it.

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
