Marty, your bass playing is always in the pocket. Dave’s solo is killer both in tone and execution. The excellent vocal adds to the happy feeling. I’m old enough to remember those days. Nicely done,Tom

Hi Marty,

Nice upbeat tune, I enjoyed your jaunty bass line on this one!

Tasty lead guitar by Dave, too.

Thank you for sharing.

Misha.
Thank you very much, Misha. Hope you make next year the best year ever.

Thank you, Vic. If you got up to dance, it's a hit as far as I'm concerned.

Those subtle BGV’s complement your fine lead vocal very well, Marty.

Another fine video too with lovely scenery that made us want to go for a long walk. 😊

Happy New Year!

Thanks, J&B. Dave's shine always brightens up the song, and that piano acted like he knew him. Thanks for making this year such a happy one, too.

Thanks. Tom. I remember a drummer I met with Victa who had the best line: "You can't hold no groove if ya ain't got no pocket." He wasn't big on double negatives, but he was a great drummer. "Old enough" -- "fortunate enough" --semantics.

Thanks, Bob. Age is just a number is number one, and I can't wait to hear more. Have a great year.

Cool upbeat song for a school dance, I can imagine teenagers dancing, young Marty playing bass on the stage with a huge grin and young Dave stealing the show completely smile Great band and nice mix. My head is spinning between "she" and "you", but I guess that's on purpose. Another hit single from one of the best albums of 2023.

So much fun!!! You and Dave "hit it outta the park", as they say (did I get the expression right? haha). I don't know who to compare it to ... a) because I'm no good with comparing musicians to other musicians, and b) because, to my ears, this sounds so original. I loved it, in any case!!!

Marty,

Another catchy blues tune, with an excellent solo, and some killer BGV harmonies. Yeah, a nice 50’s type groove to this . . . a danceable tune . . . great work all around. Cool tune!

Marty,

It's a cheerful blues tune.
The blues chord progression is not used at the chorus , which gives this tune a very nice accent.
Dave's blues guitar is wonderful.
It also goes great with your vocals.
The video also fits perfectly with the song.
Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.

Best regards.

Whoops! Looks like I missed a few replies, although I already cherished every comment as they arrived.

Thanks, Janne. Dave would've definitely stole the show, but I was never a bass player who did back flips off his amp. Never part of the show, just the sound. There's always some confusion in the transition of dumping one girl in favor of another. hehe Love reading your comments, Janne.

Hi, James. Much appreciated, and yep, you have the correct baseball terminology. I was good at discerning jazz alto players of the 50s and 60s, but never good at comparing their uniqueness.

Thanks, David. I'll never be a match for you or Bob Dean The Songwriting Machine.

Thank you, Deej. I see you have a new one here to listen to, so I have to cut this short.

Thank you, Ronnie. Means a lot, and you've been cranking out some cool 50s stuff recently.

Thank you, Shigeki. Man, I wish we were neighbors. I'd be hanging around outside just listening to the magic you create.

Thank you, Peter. Means a ton coming from your talent.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
