I actually remember this one from back in the day. Quite a ride! No problem from me for reposting an older tune seeing as I just did that with one of mine Hi Dave, Thanks for dropping in for a listen and commenting so nicely. I appreciate that very much. Alan

I'm with Marty, keep those reposts coming! I wasn't around to hear the first one ever, but sure am glad I heard this one. I've not heard one like this from you before, but this was a fun one. It got me from the get-go and never let go!
Brad Hi Brad, Glad you enjoyed it. I sometimes like to look in the darker corners of the BIAB hallways and see what might hidden in the shadows. No particular reason for writing this - just some fun playing around with the great toys PG Music gives us. Thanks for the thumbs up on reposts. My wife's deteriorating medical issues have kept me away from the music stuff the past few weeks. She's always the priority. Glad it grabbed and took for a ride! Take care, Alan

Alan,
Well, music is a subjective thing as they say . . . it’s incredibly well put together, and I would have no clue where to begin in doing something like this, so kudos to your great mixing and arranging talent . . . but it’s a bit too busy for me (though that lead solo is pretty sweet for the most part) . . . and that’s simply a matter of preference.
Deej Music is always a matter of taste and preference. I have no problem with what you said/wrote. I appreciate you noting the amount of work put into the mixing and arranging. I appreciate that. Hope 2024 is a great year for you and yours. Take care, Alan

Hi, Alan. What a fun song - cool lead guitar and plenty of bongos. I agree with you - just the right amount of FX. Very cool! Hi David, I always appreciate your visits. It was just a whim that brought this to mind - playing around with all the great toys & tools BIAB gives us. I never did master this one - every effort took something away from the mix - so I left it as is. Glad you enjoyed the journey. Thanks for letting me know! Alan

Alan,
Exciting! It is reminiscent of the performances of guitar instrumental groups from the 1960s. But it's much harder than them. The great thing about you is that you can create exactly any style of guitar sound. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi Hi Shigeki, Thank you for listening! You hit the nail on the head - I was looking for a late 1960s sound. Thanks for validating my effort! I'm delighted you enjoyed it! Best to you, Alan

That was a lot of fun, not heard BIAB sound quite like this before.
Peter HI \Peter, Well, to tell you the truth, I've never heard it before, either. But now ........ I'm glad you found it to be a lot of fun - that was the intention. Take care, Alan

Thoroughly Enjoyable!
Excellent Mix.
Killer Guitar. HI Floyd, Thank ya much for all those kind words. I was a pretty good guitarist back in the day - still am for the most part, I think - but I could never have played anything like this. BIAB isn't totally limitless - but pretty darn close to it! Glad you enjoyed it! Best to you & yours, Alan

Soap bubbles and beach balls in the air. Dancing and finger cymbals. And other things Bud's been there. Janice being 12 years younger missed it all. Well done. The new mix is definitely snappy and the percussion pops. Cool guitar too. Far out Al! J&B Well, first, Janice looks much more than 12 years younger than you! Second, I'm delighted you liked all the "upgrades". I did work pretty hard on them. The newest version of Audacity is almost a basic DAW. I like it a lot! Thanks for the visit and nice comments. I always appreciate and look forward to your thoughts on my music. Take care, folks, Alan

Cool tune... A mix of a lot of things that comes out nicely in the end.

Really fun and I love that bass and percussion. You really have BiaB skills to bring out that 60s groove. Well done!
https://soundcloud.com/user-646279677BiaB 2024 Windows For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

The white zone is for loading, except when you're with other Dead Heads! Alan, thanx for the flashback to 60's. Outstanding creative and expressive work with those RTs. A case where more was more and was the perfect amount of FX. Great mix. Loved it
I just posted a selfie and all of the responses were get well soon!

Nice one - the left side guitar and bongos give this a slightly Manhattan Transfer Twilight Zone meets the B52s feel...as if it were the extended jam freak out version shall we say. Good fun, good sculpting too. Zooming 'n 'shrooming.

Good fun, good sculpting too. Zooming 'n 'shrooming. Hello Ray, That might be the best analogy, yet. I'm a huge fan of The Manhattan Transfer and The Twilight Zone. The B=-5s to a lesser degree, but still okay.I also like the Zooming 'n' Shrooming comments - cool! As far as the sculpting, I would say part insightful and a bigger part just running into luck with the BIAB toys. I appreciate the continued support and nice reviews! Take care, Alan

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
