Hi Brad,

Glad you enjoyed it. I sometimes like to look in the darker corners of the BIAB hallways and see what might hidden in the shadows. No particular reason for writing this - just some fun playing around with the great toys PG Music gives us. Thanks for the thumbs up on reposts. My wife's deteriorating medical issues have kept me away from the music stuff the past few weeks. She's always the priority.

Glad it grabbed and took for a ride!

Take care,

Alan

Music is always a matter of taste and preference. I have no problem with what you said/wrote. I appreciate you noting the amount of work put into the mixing and arranging. I appreciate that.

Hope 2024 is a great year for you and yours.

Hi David,

I always appreciate your visits. It was just a whim that brought this to mind - playing around with all the great toys & tools BIAB gives us. I never did master this one - every effort took something away from the mix - so I left it as is.

Glad you enjoyed the journey. Thanks for letting me know!

Hi Shigeki,

Thank you for listening! You hit the nail on the head - I was looking for a late 1960s sound. Thanks for validating my effort!

I'm delighted you enjoyed it!

HI Floyd,

Thank ya much for all those kind words. I was a pretty good guitarist back in the day - still am for the most part, I think - but I could never have played anything like this. BIAB isn't totally limitless - but pretty darn close to it!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Best to you & yours,

Well done. The new mix is definitely snappy and the percussion pops.
Cool guitar too.

Far out Al!

Well, first, Janice looks much more than 12 years younger than you!

Second, I'm delighted you liked all the "upgrades". I did work pretty hard on them. The newest version of Audacity is almost a basic DAW. I like it a lot! Thanks for the visit and nice comments. I always appreciate and look forward to your thoughts on my music.

Take care, folks,

Alan

HI Dan,

Welcome to yesteryear! yes, BIAB is a real hoot, as they say, down here in Alabama. I truly enjoy experimenting with music.

Many thanks for the listen and comments. I always appreciate them.

Really fun and I love that bass and percussion.
You really have BiaB skills to bring out that 60s groove.
Well done!

The white zone is for loading, except when you're with other Dead Heads!
Alan, thanx for the flashback to 60's.
Outstanding creative and expressive work with those RTs.
A case where more was more and was the perfect amount of FX.
Great mix.
Loved it

Nice one - the left side guitar and bongos give this a slightly Manhattan Transfer Twilight Zone meets the B52s feel...as if it were the extended jam freak out version shall we say.
Good fun, good sculpting too.
Zooming 'n 'shrooming.

Hi Mario,

Hope you're staying warm - rumor has it there's a bit of a cold spell up your way!

No charge for the trip back to the '60s - it's on the house. And i sure do appreciate those very kind comments! Thanks!

Hello Ray,

That might be the best analogy, yet. I'm a huge fan of The Manhattan Transfer and The Twilight Zone. The B=-5s to a lesser degree, but still okay.I also like the Zooming 'n' Shrooming comments - cool!

As far as the sculpting, I would say part insightful and a bigger part just running into luck with the BIAB toys. I appreciate the continued support and nice reviews! Take care,

Alan

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
