Sam I Am

I have to give you a bit of background information, or else this song might no make any sense. I wrote this as part of an award this month at our department meeting for my colleague and friend Sam. You would have to know him to get all the lyrics and the humor. It's not a serious endeavor on my part and not very cohesive either. Sam loves his theme song, by the way.

I created the choir-like vocal effect by singing each of the five vocal parts three times. I also used this song as an excuse to play around with Native Instruments Schema Dark

Ezekiel, absolute AWESOMENESS! The concept is inspired. I don't know Sam, but I think I do now. And I want some green eggs and ham now, too. Ha! Great lead vocals and choir. Everything sounds clear and the vocals shine despite all the activity in the background. Sam's lucky to have a friend like you. I think. smile

Will Speare-shaking.
Ha!
That's a damn cool song.
I'm amazed at how well you got the vocals right against such a busy background.
Production awesomeness.
I take my virtual hat off to you, Scott!

Thanks, Ron. Your "I think" reminds me of when I played the song at the meeting, I said to Sam, "I hope you're still talking to me." He said, "I absolutely loved it." He wife said that I have him down to a T.

Ha! Could see that coming. Seriously, this is an epic song, and you absolutely killed it. Glad it was received in the spirit intended. That's tricky territory...

Absolutely fantastic. I may not know Sam, but I get it. What a great tribute to your friend. I’ll bet the rest of the crowd were amazed at your creative talent. What a great way to use it, Tom

Hahahaha. laugh

Nice portrait.

And bonus points for the "duckery" line - it really is a thing!

I now have an image of Shakespeare being performed by a paddling of ducks, with Hamlet quacking to Ophelia "Get thee to a duckery!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
