If PG get BiabWin working good in Wine then you would not have update/upgrade issues, not matter what Mac version you use or update to it will just keep working. You will also get the latest version and not have to wait 6 months for it to be translated to mac.
When I tried it under Linux there are only a few issues that need fixing to work well on Wine, it was as fast as Win or faster.
The main issue was it needed Windows Media Player to play the wma demos and this didn't work under Wine.
You can use Parallels Desktop but then you need to buy it as well as Windows.

Mac users come here to get BIAB working over the macOS but time after time, they get treated to nonsense like this and it always seems to come from you.

We get it. You are a hobbyist. Nothing wrong with indulging your hobbies but your constant banging of the drum for things that are never going to happen is beyond annoying.

Yes, you will once again reply that you are trying to educate people — about what? Are you kidding? How many people do you help with this crap?

Please give us a break. There is an Off Topic board for you to praise LINUX, cry, moan and bash Apple because the macOS that you don't understand doesn't do what you think it should. The constant bashing of PG Music because they don't support your WINE or LINUX hobbies is beyond old.

It would be nice if you let PG Music and Mac users help other Mac users solve problems to get BIAB working as it should on the Macintosh Board. FYI, after some growing pains, it works pretty well and I am looking forward to the 2024 version.

Unfortunately, the answer is No.

You can either a) upgrade to BIAB 2023, b) wait and upgrade to BIAB 2024 (not yet announced but 2024 for Windows has shipped) or c) revert to Ventura until 2024 is ready — best to have Apple walk you through this over the phone.
They are just repetitive bonehead comments, yes I will ring apple to get Biab to work.
Why keep making boneheaded comments ? this was an old post and Rob just replied to it, I did not just post it.
You still have not answered me as to why you use all the functions in Biab that you would not now have if I wasn't here, sounds like Wayne Kerr, I would respect you if you gave something but if you yourself give ZERO you would be best to keep it shut as I fail to see what purpose you serve. You should have wisdom and understanding by now at your age, you don't want to learn this the hard way, but life has a way of doing this to those that are hanging out to learn still. You could be just going out for a drive or a regular check up at the doctors and then things happen that you don't expect, it could be an easy wake up call or a long, long wake up call with years of suffering to go through to bring about enlightenment.
So do you still want to beat your life on what you are saying ??

"The constant bashing of PG Music ....I am looking forward to the 2024 version."
I would strongly advise you not getting the 2024 version as all the new features in it will remind you too much of my constant bashing of PG with Reaper demos of the current features and many other features like Multipicker, Reaper style Riff Edit, Tracks window, non jail windows and even import SGU Reaper . So if spite is the name of the game, keep away from it.
For those that are not boneheads enjoy the new features in BBMac 2024, at least until apple give an update or new version and screw the app up.

Musocity: many of your posts are above my head, but I really do appreciate what you add to this forum. I've been using BIAB since the early DOS days, but you've advanced my knowledge of BIAB considerably in the last few years. So thank you for your contributions.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
