Wow, this is the second piece I've heard of yours today and they both shine. Very mellow, relaxing melody. I love your style and mixing styles. I liked those drums as well, they fit the piece nicely.

Carl, lovely tune! Great tone and articulation on the nylon string guitar, and whatever FX or natural ambience you were using worked perfectly. Like the little section with the change of pace at the halfway point, too. Great job playing the band from the keyboard. Everything sounded great.

Hi Carl,

This is a very nice tune. I've been a fan of Latin music for many, many years. I like the subtle, gentle aura of this one. The nylon ac track is very smooth yet exciting. I would like to have had the bass a bit more forward in the mix, but that's not a big issue - just a personal preference.

Very nicely written and executed.

Alan

Obrigado, Carl. Friends of ours just landed in Portugal this morning, and I will share this with them. They, too, will say obrigado. Such sweet sounds from that nylon. Jobim would also love this, as would anyone with a love of music. That piano is so complementary to the whole.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Lovely gentle flow. Nice arrangement and mix. I'd like to hear you playing charango, an instrument I'd like to see on BiaB.

Hi WaoBand, thanks for your comment and for listening - you should hear the charango on the left in some parts of this mix, but it's fairly subtle!
I have 2 charangos and a 2 ronrocos which I fell in love with years ago - Pablo Richter in Argentina makes superb instruments (www.pablorichter.com.ar), I acquired mine mainly for recording but play them regularly just for the unique sound!

Glad you liked my tune, Cheers - Carl

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
