Bob and Me on Three Dash Three

My friend Bob came over on March 3rd and recorded a rhythm track: hence the cool song title. A few days later I jammed along with it. This took a back seat for a while do to other projects, but I had time to work on it last week.

BiaB style = ? for some strange reason I didn't save the sgu file like I normally do.
Tempo = 96 BPM
I deleted the strings and drum tracks.
Piano = EZKeys 2 - Piano- preset Roadhouse
Guitar - UVI WorkStation - preset 28 Electric Guitar
Drums - GrooveMonkee MIDI loops - Kirt Hunter's SSD-5 kit Funk 2

BobH - acoustic guitar rhythm track
Me- lead electric guitar (Harley Benton fake Gretsch) and my

As always all comments are welcomed.

Man, I love the sound of that Harley Benton, nice and wobbly yet sonically smooth.
You and Bob have a great style going.
Great job.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Cool jam and nice augmentation too.
It's asking for a lyric.

Cool jam! That lead guitar does have a nice sound and perfect ambience for this style. Love your playing, too! Very old school but fresh sounding. This one may get stuck in my head today...not a bad thing!

Interesting how it all came about.

We love the overall vibe.

And Bob laid down an excellent bed for your also excellent axe.

Forgive the hackneyed word ... but it is very catchy. smile

Thanx Janice and Bud. Bob and I do a lot of jamming, as well as cover songs. Of course we can not post our cover songs.

Well, this sounds very Jerry Garcia and very Grateful Dead which is a really good start!

I think I read that someone wants to add some lyrics, so I can get you started off, but you all will have to finish it because I don't really don't have that much.

Also I will admit that I have absolutely no memory of the Grateful Dead show that I attended and I have absolutely no idea why but here are my lyrics.

Cocaine Judy
And her best friend Rudy
Driving that train
Singing howdy dowdy doody
Down on the range
Feeling no pain
Play it in G
Then you play it again

Well that's all I've got maybe somebody else can finish it.

Thanx Ronnie. I call that Amplitube tremolo amp setting Dwayne. I'll bet you know where that name came from.

Thanx David for listening. I'm not a Dead Head by any means so I don't really get that Garcia comment. While playing I was thinking more Dwayne Eddy, remember him? But thanx for that comment anyway, I'll have to listen to the Grateful Dead.

PS - thanx for the lyrics. Maybe someone will pick up on them.

Another magical Sunday Serenade. That Gretch has a cool country sound, and Bob plays the perfect track for jamming. Always a pleasure hearing you guys, and this is a nice lazy Sunday feel.

Thanx Marty. That Gretsch guitar is really a Harley Benton that looks like and sounds very similar to an orange Gretsch Chet Aktins. The biggest difference is that I have nowhere near the talent that Chet had in his little finger, let alone both of his hands!

That is a super rhythm track you guys laid down here! It spoke to me and gave some inspiration to work on something!
I enjoyed every second of it! This background rhythm could work in a blues/rock tune! Also kind of has a mid era CCR flavor!

Take care, TB

Hi mario,

What a great kick back and chill song this is. As mentioned several times previously, the tremolo guitar was the perfect choice. You and Bob provide some great entertainment for the rest of us. Thanks! Enjoyed it a bunch.

Take care,

Alan

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
