I have a suggestion for the lyrics though.

In the intro, you should go Aw haw haw haw. Aw haw haw haw.

If you do this, I think people will cover this song til the end of time.

Just a thought.
Thanks David. In honor of copyright laws I think I’ll skip the Aw haw haw haw.

Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Marty, thanks for your comments. The musicians in the band keep their feet planted firmly on the ground and then there’s the drummers. 😆

I really like that raw sound, heavy guitars and tight drums, reminded me of ZZ Top on their Mescalero album. Professional mix.

Hi, Tommy.

You're of the people on this forum who never disappoint - this is ridiculously good.

Blues, slide guitar, and a killer production.

So good. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Yeah!!

Tom, I'm a fan of everything you do, but when you do a blues .... man, this is just about as good as it gets.

Great groove, love that swampy vibe! Excellent vocal, and the guitars are pure perfection.

Excellent!

Swampy blues are some of the very best kind and you’ve added a helluva good one to the genre, Tom.
We’ve spent many good times paddling’ and rambling in the swamps near here and you’ve got us wishing we were there now.

The lyric is full of so many good lines, one of which is this one that made us smile:
“Next I nearly lost my mind if there’s such a thing “

You’re definitely in the pocket vocally and instrumentally and we enjoyed it immensely.

Thanks blues man for the ride!

The song WOW - you did a really solid blues rock thing..Reminds me of John Lee Hooker on Townsend's The Iron Man album.
Thanks Ray. I’m glad you came by.

I've had times in my life when the song would have described my plight. Fortunately, that was many years ago.

Cool intro, and the string slide at the end was anice way to take it out.

Way too cool!!!

Dan, thank you for your kind words. I used to make a living playing live but I stopped a few years ago.

Awesome LIVE sound, like it was recorded in a Daytona Dive Bar during Bike Week. Fits the style of lyrics perfectly. NICE

That opening just knocked my socks right off. With, the whole song did. Guitar work and production is stunning. You should be bringing in the royalties with this one. My new fave Tommy song.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
