OP schmied Newbie S Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 4	Hallo, verwende biab 2009 und saffire 6 als audio interface Habe edirol für midi über saffire als input funktioniert alles klaglos, aber saffire als output nimmt er nicht bzw. man hört keinen ton? Nur wavetable nimmte er mit einer fürchterlichen latenz…. Ersuche um ratschlag, danke Karl schmied

ralfboe Journeyman Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 487 Berlin, Germany	Hallo Karl, ich nehme an, es geht um die BIAB-Windowsversion und nicht um den MAC. Welches Windows ist installiert - XP, WIN7? Läuft die Saffire 6 als USB-Audio sonst normal? Spielt z.B der PC MP3 oder Midi-Files über den MediaPlayer? Hast Du zusätzlich zum USB-Interface noch eine Onboard-Soundkarte im PC und ist die aktiviert? Ralf

ralfboe Journeyman Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 487 Berlin, Germany	Hallo, werden denn die Windows Systemssounds und die MP3s über die Onboardkarte ausgegeben oder über die Safire? An welcher Karte hängen die die Lautsprecher? Der zwar vorhandene aber offenbar gestörte Output über die Saffire könnte darauf hinweisen, dass sich Saffire und die Onboardkarte gegenseitig stören (z.B. geteilte IRQs, Adresskonflike, DMAs usw.). Da kann viel schieflaufen. Ich würde an Deiner Stelle mal die Onboardkarte im BIOS des PC ausstellen. Dann ist sie für Windows nicht mehr vorhanden und kann auch nicht stören. Dann in der XP-Systemsteuerung unter Audio alle Soundausgaben inkl. Midi auf die Saffire legen, d.h.die Saffire als Standartgerät einstellen. Laufen Mp3 und Midis dann über den Media Player korrekt? Wenn nein, dann stimmt was mit dem Interface oder den Saffire-Treibern nicht. Hast Du du die neuesten Treiber der Saffire runtergeladen? Manchmal hilft auch eine Treiber-Neuinstalltion. Könnte aber auch ein Hardwareproblem an der USB-Buchse sein. Probier mal ne andere USB-Buchse aus. Oft gibt es z.B. Probleme mit den Front-USB-Buchsen. Nimm dann eine hinten am Rechner. Wenn Windows aber die Sounds korrekt spielt, dann sollte die Saffire auch unter BIAB laufen. Dazu in den BIAB- "Audio-Einstellungen" die korrekten Treiber der Saffire wählen. Auf die Kanäle achten, wenn die Saffire mehrere hat. Hier ggf. auch mal ASIO und MME-Einstellung testen. Bei den "MIDI-Treiber-Einstellungen" unter "Input" den Saffire-Trieiber und unter "Output" MS Wavetable wählen. Unter "Synthi/Soundkarte" dann MS Wavetable oder Forte DXi (wenn Du den hast) einstellen. Es gibt auch den Treiber-Wizard, der bei MIDI-Treibern hilft. Wenn das alles nichts bringt, unter Optionen "Auf Werkseinstellungen (einschließlich Midi-Treiber) zurücksetzen" wählen. Und dann von vorne. Viel Glück! Ralf

Ruenstler Newbie R Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 1	Hallo Ralf, Du scheinst Dich ja exzellent auszukennen, deswegen häng ich mich da gleich in diesen Threat. Ich bin Biab - und überhaupt Musiksoftware - Neuling und ich hab folgendes Problem: ich schaff es nicht, über mein saffire 6 in Biab Audio aufzunehmen. Der Output in BIAB geht klaglos. Das Recording Problem kann auch nicht an Betriebssystem / anderen Soundkarten etc liegen. Denn mit Ableton live kann ich klaglos aufnehmen und wenn ich in BIAB "Audio"-"Record Audio"-"Test Recording levels" (ich hab das englisch-sprachiges Menü) auswähle, dann zeigt er mir im Windows-Fenster neben dem Saffire Gerät einen positiven Pegel an, aber die BIAB VU-Meter bleiben auf Null. Ich hab den neusten Saffire ASIO Treiber installiert und auch in BIAB ausgewählt, und im Record Audio Menü das Saffire als einziges Aufnahmegerät eingestellt. Bin ein wenig ratlos. Also wenn du eine Antwort weißt, ziehe ich meinen Hut und spendiere im Falle eines Wienbesuchs auch ein Bier. Beste Grüße und vielen Dank im Voraus Gerhard

ralfboe Journeyman Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 487 Berlin, Germany	Hallo Gerhard, ist die Saphire im BIAB Audio-Driver setting sowohl unter output UND input eingestellt? Die Saphire hat ja mehrere Inputs. In BIAB muss derselbe ausgewählt sein wie im Windows-Dialog unter Standard-Eingabegerät. Der Pegel wird dort unter "Eigenschaften" im Reiter "Pegel" eingestellt. Wenn in Ableton alles funktioniert, kann es m.E. nur ein falsch ausgewählter Input-Treiber in BIAB sein. Ralf Last edited by ralfboe; 01/06/11 02:11 AM.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
