This was an extremely successful experiment. Your vocal was perfect and your lyrics were outstanding. Nice backing tracks and mix also.

You should be vary proud of this one.

Thank you for listening.

Nice song Herb!! I love the arrangement, and you did a great job on the vocal. I hear a 50's influence in it. The chord progression, melody, and tempo all have elements of that era. Also, the lyrics are sweet, romantic, and innocent, also a hallmark feel of that era. With the long held notes, I would say it would be great for a crooner-Roy Orbison comes to mind. I don't know the artists others have mention but I do hear some country/Latin influences as well. Very nicely done all around. Enjoyed it very much!! Take care. Greg

Hadn't thought about the 50's influence, but that is evident in the Mavericks music as well. It would have been cool to see Roy Orbison and Raul Malo on stage together. That Raul admires Roy is evident in 99% of his singing. They had a rockabilly thing going on in their earlier music but some of their later music did lean heavily towards Latin influenced music with the addition of a brass section to their songs. It's a heavy Tex-Mex flavor.

For those who don't know the Mavericks.... you're missing out.

Go to youtube and listen to their other songs as well. It will be time well spent if you're a fan of good country music.
