If you could only have one mic....
I think a lot of people would have to say SM57.
I used a Unidyne 3 back in the 60s and I've got a pair of SM57s now. Wouldn't be without them.
Hey, not only are they versatile and sound great, but did you know you can drop them on the floor and they still work! Try that with a Neuman U87.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
