I wonder if maybe this is related to the old "midi is out of tune when played against audio" problem that used to arise as a consequence of soundcards being set to 48 kHz (48,000 Hz).

I recall seeing this problem on the forum for quite a while. It was due to the fact that if the audio card was set to 48kHz, audio would be played using this setting whereas MIDI would be played using 44.1kHz. The net result was that audio and MIDI sounded out of tune when played with one another. Since the flute is MIDI driven, and the Crooner Big Band is audio, this might be what's causing the conflict.

To check this, have a look at the image below and follow the numbers. Ultimately it's the "allow application to take control" (#5) option that needs activating. This is a Windows setting and not a BIAB one.
