Writing to spec with a deadline is a real challenge that is sure to stretch the abilities of the best. And.... it's a form of writing that forces you to get better at what you do in order to get it done on time.

I have done that a few times back in my TAXI days. This is one of those songs done with BiaB. There was two days to get it done. The song was for an Indy film..... ending scene. The song is essentially a narrative of what the movie was about. In fact the screener asked if I had specifically written this for the listing as the lyrics were way to close to be coincidentally written.

Just Another Rainy Day

It was "returned" as Taxi calls it because the genre was not what they wanted.

But yeah.... it's really fun to write like that.
