If you are using the Yamaha convention (XG), their numbers are off by one.
Most GM synths use 1-128
Yamaha uses 0-127
Sounds like Wyndham may have inadvertantly set his patch system to the Yammie convention. There should be no #00 in the VSC.. if I am understanding him right..
