RealBand needs a quantum leap no just cosmetic tweaks.
1. I think the main place to start would be the Track window.
Get rid of the background bmp's.
Use non destructive editing.
Allow sections to be moved/dragged easily without dialogs popping up.
Add linear chord track to track's timeline, along with being able to edit Markers on it.
Give option to copy source media to project folder when saving.

2. Playing RT/RD source files direct from track data from bbw2 (until self contained generate code added).

3. Allow exact track transfer from Biab, maybe drag n drop track data.

4. Multiple VST windows at the same time, VST3, VSTi chaining.

5. Other updating would be get rid of the bmp's in the Mixer and give some color options for the chord sheet.

The top and bottom with the black look fine and modern.

See if you were using JUCE you could use the same generate code that will be in the Plugin in RealBand and give a Mac & Linux version of RealBand, so you should really look at future proofing. I don't get crashes in the 64bit like I used to with the 32bit all the time. If you can allow users to do the same in RealBand as I can do in Track Injector it would have to be a good thing. Lets hope PG are ready to give it their all and do some quantum leaps ! as this is a time for quantum leaps and profound change.
